From ESPN...

The Chicago Bears hired Dave Ragone as their quarterbacks coach, the team announced late Friday.

Ragone replaces Dowell Loggains, whom the club recently elevated to the position of offensive coordinator.

The addition of Ragone to Chicago’s staff makes sense because he and Loggains previously worked together in Tennessee. Ragone coached the Titans' wide receivers in 2011-12 before overseeing the quarterback position in 2013. Loggains worked in Tennessee for six seasons, including the final year-and-a-half as offensive coordinator.

Ragone spent 2015 in Washington as an offensive quality-control coach.

A former NFL quarterback, Ragone played three years in the league with the Houston Texans (2003-05).

While a member of the Berlin Thunder, Ragone was named 2005 NFL Europe Offensive MVP. He played collegiately at Louisville

Wasn't he known as the "fat" QB coming out of college? He had some early NFL success if I remember but faded quickly.

Doesn't really look like the "fat" QB to me.

There was a guy out of Louisville that people were laughing at because he did not look like a QB in the NFL. He looked like he was in a beer league or something. I thought it was Ragone.

It was this guy: Lorenzen out of Kentucky.

Is that his family name on the front of the jersey, or the team name?

My UK guy tells this story, let's just say that Lorenzen was blessed in the midsection. When they visited IU for their annual non-conference game there was this legendary man-eating sorority girl who was in that one sorority that didn't actually have a sorority house. Well, every year she would send a teal 92 Cavalier over to the team hotel to pick him up with about $20 worth of Arby's waiting in the back seat. It used to piss [Edit: Craig Yeast] to no end, and he would be all, "I can satisfy you better than him," and she would be all, "fat chance of that." They would go at it like rabbits all weekend.
