isn't the real question whether the Patriots have a better chance of
converting the 4th down AND scoring a TD on this drive AND converting a 2 point conversion on the current drive (if they don't kick FG) AND beating Denver in OT
vs
kick FG (reducing the score to 20-15) + stop Denver in time to + drive down the field and score a TD--no 2 point conversion or OT needed.
given that NE has had a 0% 2 point conversion rate for the last 2 seasons....
if the goal is to WIN, kick the FG. Better chance of stopping denver and scoring a TD with Brady/Gronk in a 4 down offense than to use up the clock getting within 2 points and then having 1 shot to tie the game--only to go to OT if you succeed
