If you were to combine the mass of all the bad starting pitchers in baseball and divide by the number of bad starting pitchers, you'd get John Danks.

Does this mean you think that Danks is the 4th best 5th starter in baseball?

Danks would be in Cubs bullpen at best.

Hammel has taken a shit all over Danks for the past two years. His FIP numbers are like a full point lower. Not a good bet, dude.

Danks is fucking atrocious. Nothing else needs to be said.

we were talking about the White Sox rotation...JORR had Danks as the fifth starter and Sox depth charts show Danks at four and Johnson as 5 ...... JORR asked how many 5's were better and I gave him the 3 guys Garcia, Ross and Hammel who are all their temas 5.

Do you think Danks is the 4th or 5th starter in the Sox current rotation... America syas 4 ..I agree..

I also agree with America that the Sox need starter depth... after those 5 who is there Carroll, Beck, Turner or Danish?

Right now its
6) Turner
7) Carroll
8) Beck
9) ohshit
10) Carson you're getting called up right now

I'd actually like to see them sign Buehrle to eat a bunch of innings, then bring up Fulmer in June/July if Buehrle starts losing it.

Danks will likely be the fifth guy who starts a game for the 2016 White Sox.

Ehh we'll see about that. If there's only going to be one righty in the rotation there's no point trying to "break up the lefties" by pushing Danks to 5.

Danks will be number 5 because he is number 5.

If Danks could even muster up 4/5 starter numbers (10-11 wins, 9-10 losses, ERA around 4) it would be a small miracle.

Really liked him when he first came to the Sox, despite his bad 2007. Now I can't wait for him to be gone. Maybe the Sox can get something for him at the trade deadline.

Who's the SS? They can't be prepared to go with Saladino all year, can they?

Johnson MUST get the opportunity to sink or swim, with more than just 1-2 months of starts.

Maybe 1/3 - 1/2 the year until Anderson gets called up.

Alexei signed a 1yr $4mil contract with the Fathers. If they White Sox made less of an offer than that, or didn't make an offer at all, then shame on them.

Ramirez was terrible. Saladino can't be any worse.

I think there is a chance Anderson opens the season as the starting SS. Saladino is the presumptive favorite but its apparently more of a competition than I thought it would be.

Hahn missed out on yet another opportunity. They're gonna end up with Fowler and god damn will that piss me the fuck off.

I agree but I do not think he opens the season...I see him coming up in a week or two (ala Bryant) so the Sox can get the extra year of control. I hope they put him out there and just stick with him up or down.

I want nothing to do with Fowler or Desmond. Austin Jackson maybe.

Mr Cespedes, we will give you $150 million. $2 million every year for the next 75. deal?

I don't think Cespedes will opt out because the Mets paid him above market in the years even after the first year balloon.

Always take the third best player(Jackson) and hope that works out for you. Sox logic.

I don't have a thought one way or the other on him in a trade but your comment sounds like Bernsie today. He hears this rumor and immediately goes anti Sox and shouts what good is that going to do! Who wants him! Then runs the numbers and sees he is basically a 2.9 WAR player and had some injuries in 2014. Terry comes around and says he'd be fine to replace Avi.
