I am asking the questions here.

'Strike Gold Again"

Was the statement from America.

Just asking what he meant?

You do know "strike gold" doesn't mean luck right?

The 2015 Cubs were luckier than the 2005 World Series Champion White Sox.

Right...that phrase is most often used to denote a venture that is more often times than not, succesful.

The 2005 Sox had plenty of luck, but they had bad ass pitching and timely hitting. They were talented...they were still lucky.
the 2015 Cubs had their share of luck, but also had talent as well. You can't deny that.

The 2005 White Sox were one of the best championship teams of all time in baseball.

99 wins and 11-1 post season. Very few teams have a better resume than that and no one has been better in the playoffs.

11-1.

11 lucky games

Abreu averaged 150 games per year in his career

Lawrie played 149 last year

stop taking shots at spanky. You wouldn't get out of bed and go to work either if you were waking up next to your best friend every morning.

lawrie:
2011 - 43
2012 - 125
2013 - 107
2014 - 70

abreu has been forced to play injured as his back-ups have been dunn and laroche. abreu's poor conditioning and old age will only worsen his ability to play 125+ games

Of course the Cubs have/had talent. I never denied that. The 2005 White Sox had plenty of talent too. It wasn't all Kenny trying to catch lightning in a bottle like bigfan tries to tell us every week.

I'm fine if you want to label the '05 White Sox as just one of the best teams ever and not the best team ever. That's fair.

No team has ever been better in the playoffs though. Not even the 1908 Cubs.

Has anyone translated success as an actor in found footage to a mainstream career? It seems like you never hear from these people again. Katie Featherstone is like the Jamie Lee Curtis of found footage and I don't recall ever seeing her in another type of movie.

I don't know about Featherstone specifically, but Paranormal Activity really solidified the genre. I remember being on a huge movie kick a couple years before it came out, and there were all these reviews that this "B" movie called Paranormal Activity was the scariest movie ever made. When they bought the rights and announced they would be releasing it, I was so amped to see it. I thought it was a great movie... not scariest of all time... but still a great movie.

Paranormal Activity might be the worst single movie I have ever seen in my life. Never saw Blair Witch though.

So the White Sox are the 3rd best World Series team ever. That's cool.

Now we will wait for INQIUISITOR or Arlington Hts Archwood to tell us that they are the worst because the TV rating for the '05 World Series suck.
