You come into large sum of money(lotto whatever). You have the oportunity to remake any movie you wantthat you feel was not done right the first time or was missed and could use a redoing.
What would it be? For me it would be either:
Streets of fire,I would do the entire trilogy of Tom Cody
Remo Williams, make it just like Bond like it was intended but Remo is cooler cuze he is American

I'd remake The Godfather with Mark Wahlberg as Michael just to piss everyone off.

in all seriousness, i would remake "The Stuff" and/or "Parts: The Clonus Horror". i'd probably make the latter a musical, but "The Stuff" had so much potential to be a great satire on commercialism. and it really fell short.

And "I came into money" could be the title.

(That might have been your joke anyway...)

I'd remake the first Star Wars movie. Get a cute Bri'ish actress to play the Luke role, a swarthy brown guy to be the ace pilot & throw in a black guy to piss of Dignified Rube. Maybe it'll cost me $200m, but I'm sure I'll be able to multiply that tenfold.

Good thread, Chas.

Great call on Glory, KD. At least a couple of them should have survived. Even if it wasn't accurate, let them live thru that battle and put an epilogue that they died in a later battle.

I would remake Titanic without the lane ass love story.

In reality out of 700 only 50 survived I think with out looking it up. Shaws family begged and even tried to buy back his body but the Confeds where having nothing of it. They really did consider them as inciting rebellion and thus just dumped all the bodies, officers and soldiers in one big common unmarked grave.

Be sure to tell the actors to 'break a leg' before you start filming.
