97 Games is a lot. A lot has to go right. How often do teams win 97 two years in a row?

Adam Eaton is a really good offensive player.

6th in the league in oWAR last year.

I'm just hard pressed to take his numbers that seriously given what I remember to be his slow start of death.

In other words, I know it would be illegal for the Chicago Tribune to publish all of the PECOTA info. That would be plagerism and they'd me sued. Explain to me why it's different for a commercial radio station to do the same?

But I'd be hard pressed to prefer Eaton at the plate or in the field over Heyward.

Eaton has been a better hitter than Heyward so far. People expect more of Heyward. Not sure that will happen.

Not sure if I've outed myself as a Cardinals fan on here yet, but after the Cubs signed him my friend asked what I thought about Heyward after watching him for a year. My answer was "solid ballplayer, but you'll think he should be better than he actually is".

From 2001-2012 the Yankees had quite a run......remember the NL Central had 3 90 win teams and this year I think there will only be 1

The six or seven worst teams in baseball are in the NL. I could see the top teams fattening up again this season the way they did last year.

just tuned in to hear Joe Cowley call Tom an elite coach.

Dan didn't argue...what else did I miss?

Just compared Tom to Belicheck

They are far too optimistic about Danks. Rodon's gonna do better than they think. Half the Cubs team is gonna do worse than those projections.

You have just been brainwashed by the score to think Eaton is shitty because he is too grindy and wasn't a first round pick.

Its top heavy too. The top 8-9 teams are all very good. Not really any average teams. Maybe the Marlins. Everyone else is a legit contender or garbage.

Yeah, there may be two 100 loss teams in the NL Central.

Damn, this fucking poker tourney can't come quick enough. The constant begging is getting annoying. Mitch needs to tell Dan to stop using his station to promote and beg.

Station probably gets a few bucks or some kind of barter to allow it.

Was just able to listen a bit and whoever is hosting with Dan is burying the Bulls Front Office for not having a roster that is good enough and DB is not saying a thing. In the past, whenever a caller would say the same thing, Danny would ridicule them. Interesting...

this is why pairing Dan with Joe works so well...Dan's a management guy, Joe's not. Dan's a Cubs guy, Joe's a Sox guy. It really works.

Note from show: Dan and "his boys in college" grew beards for finals....so apparently "FINALS BEARDS" are fucking cool...but Hockey playoff beards are old and tiresome!??!?! How 'bout a fucking circle jerk Dan after each playoff goal!?!?!?

Exactly. I'm guessing the Score logo is on the brochures, banners, etc. at the event as a sponsor. Perhaps someone who attends can let us know?

Certainly the worst five. Atlanta, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, and Colorado.

I've only been in a few poker tournaments, but the "high roller" table they are pushing (where you get an automatic pass to the final table), seems fishy. Also, for the tickets they are "giving away" during the show, I wonder how much pressure they put on the winners to donate. I have to believe you don't get out of there without a sizable donation. (Not that there is anything wrong with them trying to maximize the take, but keep that in mind if you win.)

I remember at the CME they used to have this raffle every year for Childrens Memorial Hospital. $100 per ticket got you a chance at winning a sports car. They would display five red sports cars in front of the Merc. I knew people who would buy many tickets, thus contributing hundreds of dollars toward the charity. One time, a friend/trader won one of the cars. He said it took him months to actually get the car, as the people from Childrens Memorial first asked him if he would donate the car, then wanted $10,000 from him and basically wouldn't give him his prize without a lot of stalling. He basically had to threaten legal action.

Good question about the auto pass to the final table. There are only so many seats at that table so some are getting pretty screwed.

It's not an "Auto Pass" to final table. You have to win the table you are originally seated at in a Sit-and-Go style tournament, and then you can make the final table if you survive.

Seems like Danny Boy says free pass to final table. Then what is the point of paying a high roller premium?

You only have to outlast 9 other guys compared to a couple hundred.
