As a comic fan that was a great episode since it introduced Jesus. Thought they would make him bigger and a little more physically imposing, but I guess his ninja moves are even more impressive since he's not that big. It'd be like if IMU kicked your ass vs if BigFan kicked your ass.

Looking forward to the next couple episodes and seeing how big the world gets.

I realize there is a lot of suspended disbelief because this is a zombie show, but why would Darryl and Rick leave that car and double up in the truck? Made zero sense. Also, the whole initial and subsequent scenes with Jesus. They really make Rick and Darryl look like a couple of dumbasses.

I thought the same exact thing, as it was all happening.

yea it was a little too campy, but like you said, there's a lot of suspended disbelief that goes into watching this show.

Apparently its been 2 months since the last episode and it seems the battle vs the walkers left such a positive impression on Rick that he now wants to look for and find other good people..and in the process give people the benefit of the doubt.

Same here. Like a crazy person, I shouted at my TV. As good as the episode could have been, it had me yelling at their idiotic behavior too often to fully enjoy it.

Great episode for no characters getting killed.

Would have rather had Jesus walked in on naked Maggie than Rick and Michonne though.

I caught an episode Sunday night, this is why the show is kinda weak.. Why the fuck would Rick n Daryl leave a vehicle that has gas n runs . plus had a CD player to jump into a box truck.. It would never happen, one guy would follow the other..it was slightly less believable than Daryl knocking a guy out for hours with a jab.

I assumed Jesus was faking being knocked out that long so they would lead him back to their location.

Like Doc said already, he was most likely faking it. Also, he wasn't knocked out by Darryl, he was knocked out by the truck door.

I'm thinking that someone bites the dust this coming episode. They're having a special guest next week and we know what that usually means.

I think it might be the week that Enid finally meets her demise. No reasoning really, just a hunch. I was right the week that Deanna got bit and I was right last week that nobody would die. I was way off on the first episode of this season though. I thought for sure it would be Abraham, but instead all of Jesse's family, including herself.

Enid's got to stick around for at least another season or else there won't be any drama between her and the girl that teaches Carl to fuck.

The fact that Carl hasn't wet his wick with her yet is something I find highly improbable.

You are stuck in a shitty situation, with nothing to do but work and survive, and that would be like one of the only leisurely distractions available to them.

He's that Larry Holmes of the apocalypse. He's got a girl with him, all alone, nothing else to do, and the guy sits there reading a comic book.

Good episode.

Liked the introduction of The Hilltop.

Rick was on point as well.

Man they really followed the comic on that one. Im not a comic reader but sometimes Ill read the WD Wiki recaps to see what happens at a particular time.

The scene with the stabbing and Rick fight was almost word for word from the comic.

Good episode. This 2nd half of the season is shaping up to be the best run of episodes in a long time.

Completely agree, but you know the history of this show. We will get three straight duds.

Considering Negan isn't supposed to show up till the finale I wonder what they're gonna do for these next several eps?

I assume they'll be preparing for and then battling Negan's crew before HE actually shows up.

And Greg I binged the first 3 seasons on Netflix. Im not sure its the show. I think the trek to Terminus and the beginning of the Alexandria zone were just kinda uninnnneresting.

I get the impression the comic was the same way. Like it was kinda losing it's steam and Negan came in and refreshed it.

I don't think they're gonna do much preparing for Negan. Assuming they continue to follow the comic script, they'll probably greatly underestimate Negan and get their hats handed to them initially.

First meeting will probably go well for Rick and Co, then Negan will start to make some moves leading up to season finale confrontation.

That's what I meant.

In the scenes from next week, it seems like they will be prepping and convincing the crew to attack Negan for the Hilltoppers and they'll probably end the episode mid attack.

Forget what I said earlier. Glen may as well be dead already after passing that ultra sound photo around.

I think the show would be best served by spending these epidsodes making the viewer believe it could be anyone who "meets Negan"

They're really pushing Daryl. Maybe that's misdirection.

I spent some time today catching up a little. I'm in the middle of season 5. I forget how much I like this show when I'm away from it

No, I just read ahead online - like the wiki stuff.

Assuming they stay true to the comics, Negan's place is a lot bigger with a lot more people.
