It was kinda fun.

The old man I think dropped an accidental F-bomb during the lengthy promo which could've been a little tighter but that's being picky.

Nobody believes me but I think they're giving themselves the option to abandon having the Reigns/HHH match be last per tradition by swapping it out with the Shane/Taker match.

Someone at the other place posted this (apparently) recent pic of the MSP & Dreamer ... Pete Gas is ready to bring it still.

It's Hell in a Cell so unless it's Kane coming from under the ring*, I don't know that I expect any run-ins.

(* - which is what I think will be how Shane would win, because Kane "hates" the Authority, plus you could set up a best of three with Kane/UT with perhaps both of them retiring at the next WM, or something like that ..... that is of course, unless they swap out Shane for his proxy John Cena at the last moment)

here is how I would finish it. they are fighting on top of the ring and Sting comes down on a line with bat in hand to save the last owner of WCW and help put Shane over ending his career being the hero we all love. Make the crowd go insane.

I can't imagine any way this match takes place as currently constructed.

I think you're getting distracted by workrate concerns. The gimmick match is about the story, not a WM moment (like, say, Orton v. Rollins) unless Shane does something wacky.

I also see people saying Cena ... the more I think about it, the less that makes any sense to me ... it's not 1975. Cena can't even appear backstage, let alone work the ring rust off at a house show in Shithole Gulch, Montana, without the rest of the world knowing within moments of his appearance. And if word gets out he's showing up to events again, that lets the cat out of the bag and I can't imagine they'd want to reveal that it's Cena v Undertaker given the slew of smarky stops they have left until WM.

I also can't imagine that they'd put two guys in a HiaC main-event level match that haven't been in a ring for a combined year-plus and hope for the best. Maybe if it's a couple of guys like Guerrero and Benoit, then sure maybe then. At least if you want you can run Shane out wherever and whenever you want the next six weeks to work spots with other guys in preparation for the match.

Same goes for the Rock. Sting can't work anymore unless I've missed something. Who's left? Lesnar? Two matches on the same WM? I suppose maybe that, but I don't think they'd do that. Would they use it to elevate a guy? Who is there to elevate? Samoa Joe's ceiling is NXT enhancement talent. I don't think they'd dare bring out Balor for this. Kevin Owens? It just doesn't work for me. Shawn Michaels? M'eh. I've seen it.

Speaking of terrible posts, I was just now wondering if they'd go back to the well of Raw vs Smackdown, but instead of separate rosters, you'd have face Shane (or his designee) running Raw and heel Authority running Smackdown, which of course would mean different dynamics possible for faces and heels without the need to turn anyone.

As I say, it's probably terrible, but it would at least be a nominally different palette for creative to dick around with.

With the way they recycle story lines I could see that happening.

Shane will bring back WCW & when he wins Mania, he'll turn Raw into Monday Nitro.

Then Vince will bring back the nWo to invade WCW again.
