A list of classic games

A couple years ago MLB Network did their countdown of the Top 20 games ever played (I think they limited it to the TV era for obvious reasons), and I thought that was very well done. They didn't broadcast the entire game, but they had guests on and showed pivotal moments from each game.

Yea, that was good stuff

They need to layoff Game 7 of the 91 series. Great as it was, it's been documented to death. There are a lot of great games to choose from.

I would be interested in a week-long special on the 2011 World Series game 6.

I enjoyed that as much as possible for a Cub fan. I had the Cardinals in a pool (picked names from hat)

Fucking Nelson Cruz gets a pass on that. Not easy but very catchable ball on the game tying triple.

I watched an ESPN special on that series. They had game 6 pregame footage of Cruz just completely dicking around in the outfield. Not saying that made any difference. Just funny when you consider what happened that night.

Yea, I love stuff like that. On the other end, Kevin Millar casually explaining to Shaughnessy how they were going to come back from down 0-3 to beat Yanks. Shaugnessy and his MERM just laughed at him.

What about "Talent for the Game", the Edward James Olmos vehicle?

Russo and Byrnes have been going back and forth lately over about playing each other in a possible tennis match. Byrnes says he can beat Russo and Russo has said no chance in hell Byrnes can beat him and that he would even hire a line judge because he doesn't trust Byrnes. When setting a time and date for a match the convo went something like this...

Russo: Anytime, anywhere, I will beat you.

Byrnes: You set a date and time a month in advance and I'll be there.

Russo: What?! A month? What do you need a month for?

Byrnes: I want to practice and be ready.

Russo: Oh jeeze, c'mon! This isn't Ali vs Frazier!

I'd order this on PPV if it actually ever happens.

I caught a few minutes of his show one night and wanted to shoot myself. Had to google him to see who he was.

Mad Dog is my favorite. He does a good show. There are many times I disagree with him but he's also spot on many times as well. He does it all in a meatball way which is good for fans like me who aren't into stats and just wanna yell about how my team sucks.

Hell yea.

All the different voices. Hawk, Kenny, Russo, Costas

A passion for the game is the common theme there

Yeah. Kevin Millar is like the Mulligan of that network. They should just lock both of them in a room with unplugged mics and tell them to go nuts.
