Jason Heyward's WAR is back!

This makes sense - there is probably another move coming. A LHB 4th outfielder didn't make so much sense as there is nowhere for him to platoon. If Soler gets sit against a tough RHP (which I don't think will happen too much as I expect Soler to have a good year), Heyward moves to RF and Szczur or Baez play center. Maybe Austin Jackson gets re-signed?

I am kind of confused on this deal. Does this mean Fowler is the everday CF again? That puts Heyward in RF and Schwarber in LF? What is going to happen with Soler? Trade possible again?

fowler's new deal with cubs. man, everyone wants to be a cub!

I assume Fowler is the backup and will platoon with Schwarber and Soler.

With it being one year deal with a mutual option, he must expect a good amount of playing time.

Maybe Soler and Schwarber platoon? I don't even know. But the team seems to have gotten stronger.

Yeah, it's puzzling...if he ends up platooning, I would think he won't be offered as much next year in free agency as he was now.

The Cubs will be the highest overall team in MLB The Show '16. A championship is pretty much guaranteed at this point.

I'd think Soler and Schwarber platoon with Kyle playing some catcher. I'd say it's bye bye to Baez, maybe not right away though.

why would this move mean bye to Baez? You still need someone to sub for the infield and if he can get a few innings in the OF that is just a plus. Coughlan being traded seems to mean they are good with Baez going forward

I just don't get the sense that he is viewed as a future piece by anyone except Joe. We'll see, just a feel.
