.@ColinFaulkner tells me and @JoeO670 and the Cubs are at 2.5 million attendance already. They finished at 2.64M in 2013.

The ATM that is Wrigley/Cubs is spitting out $$$$$

OK "subbies" remind us all of the "con" job...the "cheap" owner... the ruined Wrigley experience...

I don't know why this is news. Everybody knows this. They're gonna be pretty much sold out for every game. Except for maybe a few bad weather April games vs shitty teams. But even then they'll have 25 to 30k.

But once May hits, it will be 40k plus every game.

That's what it was like when in 2007 and 2008. And when Sosa was hitting 60 plus for three straight years.

So Cubs fans are those who are "Told" by some unknown force to Like the Cubs?

And what makes them Shitty? They are a good team,,,not even sure you can deny that, its a great time going to Wrigley, which is why 2.5 Mill to 3.5 mill go each year....

I wont Deny your stake to not doing anything commercialized......like Uber.

That has very little to do with the Cub baseball product which is atrocious more often than not.

I think the time for explanations is over. Time to win now. I'll believe that when I see it.

Did you miss 2015?

97 wins
a win in the wildcard game on the road
beat a 100 win arch rival in 4 games

Now if you mean winning the WS aren't you using the "CRUTCH" from 11 years ago...

Says the guy who starts a thread about the Attendance Championship on February 27th.

Don't forget about 4 straight losses in the NLCS.

Best third place team in the history of baseball. How were/are the Sox looking?

The Cubs were a 97 win team and gained Warren, Lackey, Heyward and Zobrist. The Cardinals lost Lackey and Heyward, the Pirates lost J.A. Happ. A.J. Burnett, Neil Walker and Pedro Alvarez. On Paper, it looks great for the Cubs. That said, it looked great for the Nationals a year ago, so I take nothing for granted. Injuries can also play a huge part in any season. But Theo and Jed have constructed a team that should have a great chance in 2016 and beyond. In addition to having many outstanding everyday players, they will have a strong bench, that should keep guys fresher for the postseason and weather the storm if guys have to take a stint on the DL.

Absolutely no tears shed in Pittsburgh.

 Maybe no tears shed, but definitely not good to lose a pair of + .500 pitchers and a couple solid infielders. I guess you'd disagree if you wanted to twist yourself into pretzels doing so. I'm sure that no Sox fan would care enough about the North siders to follow and comment on their divisionial competition, though :|

Solid? Alvarez is still a free agent (no pick attached!) you know. Neil Walker isn't terrible, but he's not great either and they used him to get Neise who is likely better than Burnett and Happ.

2015.....Jon Niese 9-10 4.13 ERA Career 61-61 3.91 ERA. 2015 A.J. Burnett 9-7 3.18 ERA . J.A. Happ 2015 was 11-8 with a 3.61 ERA Of the 3, Niese had the least impressive season. Niese doesn't make up for the loss of Happ nor Burnett, much less both of them. Yes, Walker isn't terrible. He's pretty good. He's not an All Star or the Pirates would have gotten more for him than Niese. But he was/ is a good player. The Pirates will take a step back in 2016.

Pittsburgh won't miss any of those guys, no way AJ Burnett has another season like that. Pedro Alverez belongs in Japan.
