Nice Steve!

I'm all about that Djent right now...

TesseracT is my new groove. I just love math metal. It suits my left brain science and right brain art.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmR0gkojHDs

Interesting band. Guitar player writes the songs. Three albums, with two different guys singing. 1st dude on 1st album, new guy on second, 1st guy on third. I like the 2nd guy a little more, but all I really care about is the djenty guitars and fucked up time signatures.

check 'em out!

I'm with jimmy on this one.

Though I'm surprised he knows what Spotify is.

when it comes to pop music (broadly speaking) nobody compares to the Beatles. nobody's within a million miles.

I wouldn't describe it as pop. Some of it was, some was rock, but how do you describe "A day in the life"?

You're alright jimmymeatball

I do hate the Beatles, though.

I respect their contribution* to pop music, but I don't care for their music. Too clean sounding. Too perfect.

*except for Hey Jude. That song is pure shit.

Boyd,

You and I disagree on comedic genius (Kevin James),Music & baseball teams. If I didn't isolate myself from human interaction,I would suggest hanging out. :drunken:

I love the way they're rebuilding the defense.

Need a running back, though.

Baroque pop and/or psychedelic rock

That album set rock and roll back for the next ten years. It led to utter crap like Emerson Lake and Palmer and worse. Its influence even ruined the Stones for an album or two.

Yeah, the Pepper's ripoff the Stones made was really really bad. I do like Between the Buttons, though, and that's kind of a baroque-pop thing.

I have a real soft spot for Their Satanic Majesties Request. "2,000 Light Years from Home" is one of your better mellotron songs.
