I think you stole that from a list of moves the Bears shouldn't make this offseason.

I would like him to stay but basically should be able to get decent picks for him.

considering for marshall only netted moving from pick 180 or so to pick 150 or so... i dont see bennett being a huge trade chip. obviously bennett is a couple years younger than marshall but he has the same bad rep as marshall and he isnt nearly as productive as marshall is.

i would say bennett needs to stay this year. also paying 31 year old injury prone zach miller any more than the league minimum would be criminally stupid for this team to do.

speaking of stupid, i dont think it would be THAT stupid to hold an open tryout for all undrafted College basketball players over 6'5" to see if the bear can find their graham, gates, j thomas, or j cameron (hell cameron may be a FA option if he is released by Miami)

I'd check out most players drafted by David Kahn due to immediate availability.

if forte is really only getting 3 or 4M per year, i actually think it would be foolish to not resign him if it means no more than 6-7M guaranteed. he'd still be an asset next season for sure and would form a great RBBC with langford... i bet he remains unsigned for a while until camps start and RB's start getting hurt.

The Bears allegedly on the verge of announcing the signing of Danny Trevathan.

the overpaying is really not an issue with Jackson off the market. None of the rest of them will break the bank. Trevathan was a great signing at a position of incredible need that, at the same time, was not all that strong in the draft.

This is supposed to be a bumper year for DL and more specifically interior DL in this draft. This allows them to get the best they can out of that position.

They also signed Bobby Massie which means Kyle Long is going back to guard. Rejoice.

Lindahl, Broncos version of ZZ, said that Trevathan and Miller, were the key to Denver D. They had more guys on them freeing up everyone else.

Also, cant discount the knowledge Fox has about a guy he drafted and developed....this is kind of like Rizzo!

That would be a big price to pay and DL is supposed to be remarkably strong in this draft
