I can't believe they killed off Beth. Got a little bit of an ass shot as Daryl was carrying her out of the hospital. Didn't spank.

Rick has transformed into a kill first, last and always person. I could see that mentality given the number of people they let live that have come back to haunt them. However, most of the group were questionable people (in his mind) at the start as well.

I hope that priest either changes or gets gotten. His demeanor after living so long in a post apocalyptic world really isn't believable from a viewer's perspective. He knew people were dying (his congregants) and yet he treats viewing death and zombies as if this is day 1 of the infection. The guy is a shitty actor anyway. As a person who has had a nail stuck in his foot (no, I'm not Jesus, Seacrest), it doesn't make you limp badly.

Why is Noah so important to everyone? I understand Rick not wanting to give him up in a "no person left behind" mentality for his group. However, what does he mean to the hospital group. Sure part of it is a power play by Dawn before her fading group but it seemed like there was something more about Noah that she deemed of critical importance.

The entire closing scene to the hospital arc just didn't flow very well. In fact, the entire hospital storyline didn't seem well thought out and even more poorly acted. Either the writers/actors have no understanding of cops or the cops of Atlanta are different than the ones I know. The chances of a woman leading a group of cops is pure fantasy from my observations.

Yea, the whole hospital thing sucked. Dont even worry about it.

The actor playing the priest is a decent in other stuff he's been in. (The Wire, Oz) I think the writing of his part is to blame.

I understand what they are TRYING to write with the priest's character but I just don't think they can make it believable. There is no way to come out of this thing innocent. He wasn't even innocent and they still tried to write him that way. Even his clothes being clean is improbable.

Another thing I don't understand is why this group insists on staying in the woods close to Atlanta. There are obvious places in this world where you can go without meeting other humans/zombies.

Rick is a lousy leader, any leader with half a brain would have taken the group to one of islands on the Georgia coast..live on seafood and bring in some deer n turkey to reproduce, dozens of cows n chickens. I'm assuming the walkers can't swim.

I'm assuming we're gonna find out the answer to that age old question this season on "Fear the Walking Dead". It takes place on a yacht and in the previews there appears to be some scenes where someone might be battling a walker under water.

That doesn't really answer the question. Even if they can walk under water, they key is to decrease the amount of exposure.

The most logical move is to somewhere in the mountain states but that poses its own problems including cold and distance.

I stopped watching Fear The Walking Dead after the third episode, but these previews by the beach or water might drag me back in. I didn't care all that much about the characters for some reason.

The best character came in at the end of the season

Yep.

The old Hispanic guy is interesting too, but that's about it.

I finished Season 5. Pretty solid in my opinion.

In hindsight, maybe we don't know the whole story about Carol and her husband. Maybe she manipulated people into taking him out in Season 1.

There was a red A on the church as they left after the zombies had attacked it. Then, the family in Richmond marked their hands and Rick's with a similar red A. Does that get addressed in Season 6 or was that just a coincidence on which they never followed up?

I looked at Rick's group and Deeana's group as Athens v. Sparta. I'm probably overthinking it that they would have this battle of political philosophies in the capital of the Confederacy and close to Washington.

I always liked Morgan and wanted him to have a recurring role from the beginning.

I wanted to see how a vote would have gone on the issue of ostracizing Rick. I have a feeling those big construction types who saw Abraham in action would have voted to keep him.

The whole idea of ostracizing them seems silly. Deeana brought them in to the fold BECAUSE she saw an ability to act as the military and police. She knew her son and his friend were frauds as a soldiers. She knew the husband was beating on his wife. She knew they were not prepared for an attack. She saw them as providing that for the group. I don't know why she lied to herself weeks later.

Unless those wolfpack guys have more people, they don't seem so tough. Maybe they just get the jump on singles and small groups.

She manipulated zombies to eat her husband?

I doubt that. That scene was in there for the "fuck you, I'm bad ass Carol and if I want extra chocolate I'm gonna take it" effect and that's it.

I doubt that. They made a point of stating how closely the food stuffs are inventoried and rationed. They will know if an extra quarter bar of chocolate is gone.

They will be doomed to shitty chili for the rest of their existence

I read back to see some of the genius thoughts from Season 5.

This is Richmond, VA, isn't it? I think I said Arlington and was corrected with Alexandria.

The zombies had shown no ability in the past to move in an direction other than straight ahead and standing up. When they change direction it has only been after a head roll with the body following. In the past few episodes these things have been getting down on their hands and knees chasing people under vehicles. If the zombies now can think a bit more that breaks up one of the staples of their defense in the past where they just put a pole with a sharpened end into the ground and let the zombies walk into it.

I think Rick did have an epiphany during his fistfight that maybe he isn't as a big a badass as he thought he was. A drunk, upper class suburbanite gave him all that he could handle.

Didnt care much for this episode. Maybe its the waiting for Negan. Also I dont care about the dr girl.

Its hard for me to care about anyone that came in after Abraham and Eugene.

I did think we were gonna lose Gene-o for a minute there
