I don't believe in vanity plates. It dilutes your state identity. Florida in particular is really bad about this: every car you see has a different design on the plate, for autism awareness, Everglades conservation, the Miami Hurricanes, having survived an actual hurricane, on and on. It really makes it hard to know what kind of idiot just changed lanes without signalling.

Being able to look at a car's license plate and say "oh, he's from Illinois." Obviously Blackhawks plates are going to be from Illinois, but some of these plate designs are so busy that you can't tell what's what.

I guess you have to read the big word that says "Illinois" on it.

Vanity plates enhance state identity. If I see a Sox plate I know I'm dealing with someone I can relate to, if I see a Cubs plate I dont know if they're from Iowa, Peoria, Rockford or wherever.

You probably can't get a Chicago Cubs vanity plate from Iowa.

I don't like the Lincoln plates. They're too busy. I like the old white and blue ones from the '90s.

Yes, but I am not the one who just made a post about seeing a Vanity plate and knowing "those people" arent from some place like Peoria or Rockford, which, last I checked are in Illinois and would be able to acquire said Vanity plate?

First Fan is visiting Cuba. He will tell the other commies that White Sox want to be "Cuba's Team" and move to Habana. One Billion Yankee Dollars for new 'Minoso Field and Casino'. Wayne Weiss will be the greeter at the new Casino.
It's going to be huge. Really great. Really great.

Open up travel to Cuba and build a great casino and ballpark combo and they would draw more fans there than they do here. The Cubs hold over Chicago is only going to increase as they continue to win and get even better. Meanwhile the publicity the Sox get is relegated to pathetic stories about how a player quits because he can't have his 14 year old by his side every day. The Cubs will outdraw the Sux by a 2-1 margin in 2016. More than 3 million, to under 1 1/2. TV and radio numbers will be similar in their reflection of interest in the teams.
