This is a stupid platitude that people say without actually thinking about what it means, which is actually nothing. We're all men of principle. Charles Manson and Bernie Madoff were men of principle too. Some people have principles that suck. Having your kid shagging flies at Camelback Ranch when he should be reading the classics is a shitty principle.

This is one of those stories where some people will immediately jump on the wrong side but in like 2 months we'll look back and everyone will understand the Sox were right.

The only issue is they probably shouldnt have let it go on all of last year.

See, you can't drop in the little "however' about last year, because thats a HUGE part of it. I would say it wasnt just allowed last year it was encouraged and affirmed by the Sox actions of giving him a locker and uniform. So, the Sox should take a huge portion of the blame here. They affirmed the arrangement by their actions.

Allowing it again this year is further confirmation.

Lets start with Kennys claim that he claimed he asked him to not have his kid there daily. What does that mean? He can show up everyday? he can come over once a week?

The fact Kenny ddnt think this was an issue says tons about him.

I dont think the kid should have been there in the first place and Laroche was foolish for walking away, but the situation was created by the Sox allowing and encouraging it, then handled poorly on many levels by a terrible "executive".

Legally speaking, the Sox actions could be seen as affirmation of the issue.
I'm not really getting your point here.

The Sox shouldn't have let it happen in year one but they were also wrong in stopping it in year two?

The story here is that Ventura and Hahn have a deficiency of power and/or backbone.

Kenny has to come in and be the bad guy.

I agree about the scenario, but I just think its kenny just going off, not evaluating the situation.

If it had to be done, Kenny should have talked to Robin and let Robin handle it...and I am 100% sure Robin is thinking the same thing.

If Robin had any stones he would go and tell Kenny that and tell kenny to stay the fuck out of the clubhouse.

Further evidence Robin walks away unless a playoff slot comes out of this year.

Hahn sold his soul to the devil, he cant say shit anymore

Agreed, at least with Ventura. This really should have been his job.

It's less of an issue with Hahn since Kenny is also front office management.

I wonder if Hahn and Hoyer ever hang out?

They probably home school their kids together.

Why wasn't #AdamLaroche son in school everyday? This maybe a child services issue. Can this kid read?

Now Adam LaRoche can spend all the time in the world with his son & hopefully start going to school instead of shagging balls for grown ups

Out of extreme boredom, looked up who this assclown is:

He was expelled from high school and moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 19 years old to try and become a stand-up comic.

The Sox are 100% right to get this kid out of there, but leave it to the Sox to make a complete hash out of everything as they always do. If they couldn't dismiss the best player in franchise history without being dicks, how are they going to boot some kid?

Rapaport moved to Los Angeles to try stand-up comedy following high school graduation (which came after a series of expulsions)

And he's a good actor, good documentary maker, a hip hop expert and is in a ton of great movies.

What is your take on all this? You seem to be on LaRoches side and maybe Homeschool?

Cmon, Rappaport is one of the worst actors in Hollywood.

I said my take. He should have never been allowed there in the first place. Any moron can see that. But I don't give a damn that he quit. Good for him. Looks like his kid has a hell of a life. Better than my childhood spent mostly watching TV while my parents were gone 12 hours/day.

See, I don't think that's it. I don't think Ventura or the players minded. This is just Kenny asserting himself like he did when he flipped over the table in Jerry Manuel's clubhouse. Kenny is a dipshit.

Ok.

You kinda think everyone is bad though (thinking back to your thoughts on comedians). I think he's a decent actor and pretty funny guy in general. His Tribe Called Quest Doc is great.

And whatever the reason is...he has been in some movie that I love. True Romance, Higher Learning, Bamboozled, Copland

And he was good on Boston Public

AKA a Knee Jerk reaction...and it sure seems that Sale, Eaton and Beckham were not fans of this.

Guessing some of the NEW players said something as it probably came as a surprise to them, someone says something to Kenny 'hey man, whats with the kid in the locker room?"

You know home-schooled kids do better on standardized tests. Critics say the kids don't get SOCIALIZED whatever the hell that means. Looks like this kid has gotten plenty of socialization.

Probably Lawrie.

Doesnt Lawrie have a real overbearing father? That would be weird.

And Drake gave Sale a signed jersey. Not sure what that means.

No because the concept of grading someone you supposedly love and care for is absurd.

I saw a piece on 60 Minutes once about kids who weren't schooled. They weren't home schooled. The parents just allowed them to learn whatever they wanted. I swear these fuckers got perfect ACT scores.

I asked my wife how she would feel if Drake LaRoche scored a perfect ACT. She said, "Flabbergasted."

Those studies are normally comparing home schoolers who are affluent enough to have a non-working parent and pay for resources that would otherwise be provided by the schools vs. the average population.
