The headliners are very underwhelming...

Radiohead is underwhelming?

Well, explains why I caught XRT playing "Let Down" and "Exit Music" a few times over the last week or so. Usually they're only allowed to play "Creep."

Yes.

Haven't they headlined this thing like 3 times in the past 10 years?

Yeah, but they have a new album coming out.

Is it going to be as bad as the last one?

I don't think such a thing is possible. That album really sucked. People are saying great things about this song called "Identikit" but I haven't listened to it. Don't like to hear live versions of new songs before the studio version.

Also, Bloc Party, hey, there's a band that came and went without me ever hearing them. I remember everyone talking up Silent Alarm but I never got around to it nor anything else they did. All I know about them is the lead singer is Nigerian and/or gay.

The only reason to see Radiohead is to put Thom Yorke out of his and the world's collective misery.

I do not get the Haim love. Three decent-looking chicks that make passable, bland music.

You wanna stir it up a bit? Make Ghost a headliner and plug the shit out of it to get the religious rubes going.

Haim's first album was pretty good. Have they made a second, or are they just Taylor Swift's entourage now?

Red Hot Chili Peppers, now there's a band that's basically batting the Mendoza Line in terms of quality songs and yet they're still here.

Radiohead played Lollapalooza in 2008. Prior to that, they played Grant Park in 2001.

I will be watching on youtube at home.

Outside of the Peppers, Jane's Addiction (both awful bands) and Ghost, I've never heard of any of these bands or artists. I know the style of music played at Lolla isn't for people like me but I would think I'd know more of these acts. I've completely lost touch.

You'd have to pay me more to brave the elements than I would have to pay for a 4 day pass, but I'm seeing a LOT of good stuff on this list. In no particular order:
Radiohead (haven't cared since HTTT, but they are amazing live)
RHCP - no one cares anymore. BSSM came out in like 1991......
LCD - would be fun, but what a total sell out.........
Lana Del Rey, if the weather is perfect and she's playing a sunset slot, don't know who J Cole or Future is.
Ellie Goulding is fucking awesome, keep Major Lazer, Disclosure and Janes Addiction (see RHCP mention).
Don't know who Flume or G-Eazy or Halsey are, but The 1975, HAIM, M83 (even though the new single is fucking terrible) and Chris Stapleton will all benefit from early evening big stage slots.
Grimes, Leon Bridges, Big Grams, Ghost, Kurt Vile, Daughter and Mutemath will all be awesome......
So will Vince Staples, Joy Formiddable, Autolux, and Wavves........that's as far as I can get on the list befopre I have to put my bi-focals on.
I'm with Doug - wtaching it at home where the air is on, the beers aren't 58 dollars, etc.

She should be, she's not bad looking, plus has a less-than-average voice and her music sucks.

I don't know where it will be, but there will be a BLUSH show somewhere on the Chain O' Lakes playing mindless covers that will be more fun than that nightmare.

I'm still at 100% of non-Lolla attendance.

Looks like my "concerts suck" theory is really taking off!

I think all day or multiple outdoor festival shows that aren't at Alpine Valley tend to suck...I did not think that 10-15 years ago, but I'm old and achey. Standing is awful. Sitting on grass is awful. But give me a seat, and I'm a happy lad.

Ghost is the only band I really want to see. That being said live they have so many tracks they play along with (not knocking them it is a tough sound to pull off) that it isn't as cool as I would like it to be.
