I sure wish the N.L. had the DH. I like this lineup a lot and hate the idea of sitting a guy like Soler as much as he will at times. What a lineup 1-9! A pitcher has no chance to take a breath. Every guy is dangerous. This is just going to be a lot of fun. The fact Arrieta was dominant was no surprise. Those who expect a significant drop off from Jake, are likely to be disappointed.

Fun game. Everyone has hit the ball hard tonight. Arrieta was more dominant with every pitch he made and the defense has been good. I can't find anything to complain about.

Lester has been pretty efficient so far tonight. Szczur is not going to make it easy on Theo to make room for Baez if he keeps raking like he has in his first 2 AB's of the season (4 RBI). It's nice when the concerns about the team involve the last spot on the active roster.

6 innings, 1 run and 81 pitches, just 4 hits. Good job by Lester. Because he just faced Trout and Puljols, I guess it's possible he goes 1 more inning too.
