A lot of concern within the Cubs organization today about Kyle Schwarber's injury, and there is more concern about his knee than his ankle.

The reason I don't think so is because the trainer was flexing his knee when he went out to see him. I've never seen that when an athlete complains about a knee injury. So I think it's just the ankle.

Cuz if a player says it's the knee, you certainly don't bend it like they did with Schwarber.

But I could be wrong.

Do we even know his real age?

Schwarber mentioned knee soreness


I really couldnt see anything in the play. It wasnt like an obvious one where you see the knee go the wrong way or something. It almost seemed like a collision that would just cause a bruise but obviously it was more than that.

They certainly are not short on Power hitting DH/OF's

Speaking as not a doctor, I am happy that he put weight on it right then and there on the field before they brought him off on .... THE CART, and will take some small degree of solace in that until better information is revealed.

Putting weight on it means nothing. Lots of guys can walk off the field with a Torn ACL. But I'm going with the fact that they flexed the knee as it not being the problem. I don't think they would have done that if he said that was the problem. That's my non doctor analysis.

Football players have in fact finished games with a torn ACL. It isn't always crippling pain. It seems plausible as he was so twisted about. Maybe wait for an announcement?

The fact that there's no MRI results out yet basically dooms him. What a shame, he would've made a great DH.

Tie him to a tree?

Several sources are saying that it really sucks that no news on his MRI yet.

Dr. Ken has confirmed and is reporting that there is no news on Schwarber's MRI.

His knee is blown out. There's no need to wait for any reports. Out for the year is my prediction.

Mine was a complete ACL tear, along w/ the MCL and meniscus and it was relatively painless.

If it is a standard ACL tear, then they already know and just use the MRI to confirm.
