Well, it has finally happened. The City of Chicago has given in and told the LAZ parking people "F You"

RE Brokers can buy a $500 "park anywhere" pass for the city of Chicago.

Sure, Plumbers, Electricians, etc should be able to buy one as well, but then they need a stronger union that donates tons of money to the crooks that make the laws in Chicago.

Instead of just making a "Workers permit" that might be good for 7 Am to 3PM, the city of course goes this route.

Hey, its another chunk of change coming in.

I don't think the City can really tell LAZ "fuck you". We'll end up paying back LAZ for the spots used by the brokers. Since the same people run the City and LAZ it really doesn't matter. Just bend the taxpayer over one more time.

I've been meaning to take that test for a while now.

Correct again Mr. President.

Who pays for the collection of parking tickets and where does that money go?

I worked on a project on Western Ave for 9 months. Once the LAZ meters got put in, I NEVER saw another ticket person. I never bought a parking time ticket and never got a ticket.

Those same people that run LAZ and the City are in the same meeting with the NAR, you do know the NAR is #2 in lobbying money spent in the US (Really number 1), so this isnt the Pipefitters Local Union 12, these are people that shit on the LAZ groups. Yes, more money than the American Medical Assoc .

This might get paid back in some form, but it isnt coming from the city level, this deal is cut way above City of Chicago level.

#1 lobbyist in the US Chamber of Commerce, which is essentially a front for the banks.

I'm not exactly sure about how the ticket revenues work. I believe the City still receives ticket revenues. I know City employees write them. I'm not sure if LAZ can write their own tickets. But what I know for sure is that LAZ can and does submit a bill to the City for any sports that are taken out of service. For example, when there is no parking on a metered street for a Cub game or a marathon, the City has to pay the estimated revenue that would have come from those spaces. I assume the same can be said for any spaces taken up by the realtor passes.

LAZ doesnt write any tickets. Have parked in spots while the are changing out machines and I asked, "do I dont have to pay" and the guy said correct.

Thus the LAZ crew doesnt write the tickets, so the City ticket guys are calling LAZ and saying "hey, I found some money for you?"

I think LAz only cares about some areas of massive revenue. Downtown, gold coast, etc.

Would like to know the real connection between the tickets and the LAZ revenue, unless LAZ gets a share of the ticket? and the city keeps the rest?

But I HIGHLY doubt any money iscoming from the city to LAZ for the Brokers passes. Its a deal cut on a much higher level and something else will be given to someone connected to LAZ which is owned by Alan B. Lazowski, who started LAZ and is on leave for FEDERAL BRIBERY CHARGES. There ya go
