YES

what is really amazing is you have two guys in this thread implicating catholics to blame for something they had nothing to do with. then brushing off a long history of ant-catholicism in this country as insignificant. and then claiming THEY are not bigoted!

YES AGAIN.

Seacrest... you know better than to think I blamed catholics for this law.
You are not a stupid man.

Please when you have a quick sec tell me about how you were discriminated against due to your catholicism, Seacrest. Still waiting on that. Or just say the truth... it didn't ever happen. That's fine too. Just because you never personally experienced anti catholic discrimination doesn't mean it does not exist. Your narrative isn't in complete jeopardy.

Crest, what is your take on this law?

Post a copy of the actual law. I will read it and happily answer your question.

Reasonable enough for ya?

Whoops... didn't see Chus' post. Well, at least now Seacrest can't claim he didn't see it.

If he keeps his eyes closed forever, he can say he didn't see it

Sounds legit.

The law in the first three sections reaffirms protections that are presently protected by the constitution and are a matter of law already.

I have highlighted those particular sections. I'm really unsure about the portion in italics.

Should we continue?

SECTION 2. The sincerely held religious beliefs or moral convictions protected by this act are the belief or conviction that:

(a) Marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman;

(b) Sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage
; and

(c) Male (man) or female (woman) refer to an individual's immutable biological sex as objectively determined by anatomy and genetics at time of birth.

SECTION 3. (1) The state government shall not take any discriminatory action against a religious organization wholly or partially on the basis that such organization:

(a) Solemnizes or declines to solemnize any marriage, or provides or declines to provide services, accommodations, facilities, goods or privileges for a purpose related to the solemnization, formation, celebration or recognition of any marriage, based upon or in a manner consistent with a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction described in Section 2 of this act;

(b) Makes any employment-related decision including, but not limited to, the decision whether or not to hire, terminate or discipline an individual whose conduct or religious beliefs are inconsistent with those of the religious organization, based upon or in a manner consistent with a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction described in Section 2 of this act;
or

(c) Makes any decision concerning the sale, rental, occupancy of, or terms and conditions of occupying a dwelling or other housing under its control, based upon or in a manner consistent with a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction described in Section 2 of this act.

So you're in favor of the law, correct?
