I have to see if Bernstein says it before I attribute it to you.

No. But go away from Cub threads unless you get smarter or hop on the band wagon. You suck at this. Oh the Sux blow and do not let the fast start against the worst team in the A.L. sway you otherwise. They are shit. Nice rainout today or they would be exposed further.

No, it is not the end of Schwarbers career as a Cub. Plenty of catchers have returned within a year to catch again, so I don't believe he is necessarily done as a catcher. However, because of th fact that he was not a very good defensive catcher previously AND he will be coming back from a knee surgery, I would not be shocked if he sticks to playing the outfield and being a DH in American League ballparks. Very glad the Cubs did not trade Soler for a back of the rotation starter. Having depth is crucial and I'm glad Theo and Jed maintained the depth needed to survive an injury like Schwarber's.

Don't be jealous because the Sox have looked good and haven't lost their best player to injury early in the season the way the Cubs have. The Cubs are scoring a lot which is hiding the obvious problems with the pitching. Lackey looks finished. And Goldschmidt and some guy named Burrito used Arrieta for batting practice last night. Better hope they can maintain the scoring without Babe Ruth.

The timing of now vs. 30 games from now definitely doesn't help with Theo's planning. Even getting 5-6 starts behind the plate this year with a regular pitcher, and another 3-4 games where he moved from LF to C after the bottom of the 7th when behind, those innings would have given everybody a good sense about where they were going.

I've said all along that Schwarber's path is that of Brian Downing, and now he has the knee injury to go with it. I do think that he'll keep on catching a little bit because a true #3 catcher is a luxury for most teams and for a Joe Maddon team it just plays into the whole flexibility thing. He might only catch 150 innings a year, with a lot of them being in the late innings of games with lots of substitutions, but it'll be valuable in an NL situation.

Let's see how the kid comes back from it. I worry most about him putting on weight, which will make it even more difficult on the knees.

He gave up 3 runs. THREE.

And he won the game, which is what good pitchers do, right? They find ways to win.

The Sux blow and you know it. Cubs being good eats at you and it shows. Sux gonna finish with at least 80 losses and that is if all goes real well.

He pitched better than his opponent which is the most important criteria by which to judge pitchers.

He outpitched a 17 game loser. You should be very proud of him.

At the time you made this post the Cubs allowed 15 runs, the Sox, 20.

If the Cubs have pitching problems, the Sox are experiencing a pitching Armageddon.

Not like the Sox have played more games than the Cubs or anything.

I subtracted the one run the Sox gave up today to get them to their total of 20. Trust me it was an apples to apples comparison.

After 7 games, Sox 21 runs, Cubs 18.

Now run along little boy back to the Sox forum where you and JORR can discuss the meltdown that is the Sox pitching.

Also shithead he made the post at 5:30 this morning.

I know you're in hysterics because of how awesome the Cubs are, but let me help you out here.

Take a few deep breaths, relax. Go enjoy the Sox team and the Sox forum, they are off to a good start.

Try to be a fan of your team, not a JORR clone in the Cubs forum making up more bullshit than you can keep track of.

It's past your bedtime little boy, get a good night rest. Sweet dreams of that Russell bomb.

Eh, the Sox have only played (and dominated) the first place Oakland A's, the Indians (average team probably) and one game against the lowly Twins.

Cubs have played two last place teams and a team that is obviously tanking in a bullshit league with free strikeouts.

Also I'm not surprised you were confused by the multiple JORR boxcars full of bullshit that he calls posts in the Cubs forum.

If he can't keep track of all the bullshit he peddles in this forum, we won't expect a poor excuse for a lapdog like yourself to keep track of your owner's posts.

The Sox have played 7 games and have a +7 run differential, they haven't dominated shit. You'd going a good job as JORR's lapdog in that your definition of "dominated" in this context is as laughable as JORR's bullshit definition of "pitching problem" as it pertained to the Cubs.
