I am just glad to be done with the Rongey. I have that motherfucker!

I heard Rongey a couple of weeks ago actually say how happy he is not to have to take phone calls calling for firing Robin in the first week of the season. He said this while doing weekend updates at some odd hour. I like Rongey. I'm happy he is unburdened.

i didnt take issue with the way rongey handled callers... most of the callers were total morons.. my issue with him was he talked endlessly in circles without ever making a point... he could ramble on for minutes and not actually say anything of substance.

But Rongey was often just as dumb and obstinate as the callers, just from an apologist for the team standpoint.

I heard Connor on Saturday and thought he did a pretty good job.

Rongey was too much of an apologist. He did the same thing with his articles in the DH. You lose credibility when you tow the management line all the time. And Sox fans were an especially edgy bunch last year for good reason.
