I still can't believe the front office ran Thibs out of town. Getting players to try hard and play together is really half the battle in sports. This team is a playoff team given the talent, playoff/veteran experience, and the state of the rest of the conference. This team is not a championship team. Nevertheless, this was a collosal underachievement.

This team should have made the playoffs. I don't think that Hoiberg is the biggest problem. That's an easy and convenient scapegoat. The Bulls were 10 games over earlier in the season. Injuries were the biggest problem on the team.

Hoi berg made some mistakes but I don't think they impacted the team to the extent that injuries did.

You say colossal underachievement but in the narrative thread there weren't many that had the team winning more than 50 games. That's without injuries.

The talent level on this team is overrated. Gasol slipped this year. He is winding down a HOF career. Butler isn't as good as some here think. Rose shows flashes but he will not ever be that top 5 guy again. Gibson isn't that good and Mirotic has some talent but probably has one of the worst IQs in NBA history

Don't be ridiculous, Walt. Drafting AND re-signing Rose were both moves that everybody loved and were warranted, considering he was a 23-year-old MVP. The injuries were what ruined him... that's no one's fault.
