I still can't believe the front office ran Thibs out of town. Getting players to try hard and play together is really half the battle in sports. The Bulls had so much talent this year and played so far below that talent level. But I have the Hawks/Blues and plenty of baseball to entertain myself. And it appears the Bears are close to becoming a professional organization again.

LTG thinks Hoiberg was a good hire because LTG's eye tests proved that there was better ball movement this year.

Your "eye tests" told you that the Bulls were a talent laden bunch. This in spite of the fact that Etwaun Moore, Taj Gibson, and Justin Holiday were all receiving quality minutes.

So has Dan mentioned the Bulls coach as a potential problem?

This team is a playoff team given the talent, playoff/veteran experience, and the state of the rest of the conference. This team is not a championship team. Nevertheless, this was a collosal underachievement.

This team should have made the playoffs. I don't think that Hoiberg is the biggest problem. That's an easy and convenient scapegoat. The Bulls were 10 games over earlier in the season. Injuries were the biggest problem on the team.

Hoi berg made some mistakes but I don't think they impacted the team to the extent that injuries did.

You say colossal underachievement but in the narrative thread there weren't many that had the team winning more than 50 games. That's without injuries.

The talent level on this team is overrated. Gasol slipped this year. He is winding down a HOF career. Butler isn't as good as some here think. Rose shows flashes but he will not ever be that top 5 guy again. Gibson isn't that good and Mirotic has some talent but probably has one of the worst IQs in NBA history

Don't be ridiculous, Walt. Drafting AND re-signing Rose were both moves that everybody loved and were warranted, considering he was a 23-year-old MVP. The injuries were what ruined him... that's no one's fault.

paxson has had 13 years to figure out how to build a contender... the best he could do was 1 conf finals appearance. but is uncle jerry really going to fire gar or pax with 4 years and 20 mil owed to hoiberg? what good does firing gar do if hoiberg stays and paxson still is running the show?

Yeah, I'm not defending any of them. They are a thin-skinned group, and they seem to love the echo chamber. But that doesn't mean the Rose decisions were bad.

Tuned in about 4:40 or so and they are talking about how ugly the White Sox fanbase is.

These two.

It'd be easy to say calling Sox fans ugly is part of being the new Cubs station, but Dan was calling Sox fans a bunch of Jew-hating, black-hating poors the year they won like 86 games.

The Jew-hating I can agree with...but the black-hating...disagree completely...that's the Northside.

There you go.

The front-office is on record as saying that this is a championship caliber team, and they believed the coach was an obstacle to achieving that goal.

The target should be on them.

Is it just me or is Dan's head about twice as big as it should be proportionally to his body?
