I've never begrudged Hawk being a homer, I just think the Chicago White Sox could have found a better homer than a sloganeering southerner.

I think they can be fans, but they shouldn't be portraying their preferences while broadcasting. I'm not talking about a guy broadcasting a team's games like Hawk or Eddie O. Those guys work for the teams in question. And I'll give Olczyk credit for turning it off or at least tempering it on a national broadcast.

If you're covering a team, you shouldn't be cheering it on- or rooting against it. Just report the facts. And you should be able to hide your rooting interests a little better than Barry Rozner. Insisting you aren't a Cub or Hawk fan doesn't make it true. bernstein thinks he can act like a reporter when he feels like it and be a cheerleader on other occasions and somehow still be taken seriously. He's really just a shock jock who dabbles in rape coverage.

Not sure about the homerism but the reverence Bernstein holds for the broadcasting rights of the Cubs is really crazy.

I understand it's a big team to have but he speaks as if its the pinnacle of his career to be working on the team's station.

During the golden age of the Score they were proud not to have broadcast rights to any team.

I don't think it can be doubted that partnership deals with various teams has skewed coverage of those teams.

I liked the voice of the fans. I liked that a goof could ask Riley if he's shave his head for a win and not have to think twice about the consequences.

But back when North & Jiggetts as well as McNeil and Boers were providing listeners with quality programming, there was good reason to tune into the station. Today, the Cubs games are the only reason.

Are you kidding? You are missing a lot of great thoughts from meatballs on transgender issues. It's going on and on.
