The point is that Sanders' record is indistinguishable from Clinton's despite the contention in this thread that Clinton is a "leader" who knows how to get things done.

The truth is that she accomplished little in the Senate.

As Secretary of State, she embraced a neoconservative militarist position that has had disastrous consequences internationally.

As first lady, she pursued a neoliberal economic agenda ("free" trade, austerity, privatization) that has had disastrous consequences domestically.

So when she has gotten things done--outside of elected office, mind you--the things that she has gotten done are generally pretty awful.

I still laugh at her supporters still trying to disassociate her from Bill's record, especially the corporatist parts. s.

you may want to have a word with Nas about this.

Nas this, Nas that. I don't think anyone's taken this much fun out of posting here since the Downers Grove hacker.

I curious why my disagreement about Bernie bothers you? Do you prefer to just interact with people who agree with you?

BECAUSE YOU SAY THE SAME SHIT OVER AND OVER IN MULTIPLE THREADS. Disagreement is fine, but we can't escape it.

Haven't people complained about you doing the same thing when it comes to Toews for years? I'm simply offering my opinion. If I loved Bernie or if you disliked him you wouldn't have an issue with my thoughts.

It's also funny that she is more electable given that she polls behind Sanders in every head-to-head, and she is the subject of a pending FBI investigation. At least she lead the failed effort to pass healthcare reform in the 90s. It proves she is a leader.

She has garnered 2.5 million more votes than Sanders. If it were not for silly caucuses keeping him viable, this race would have been over. If he is such the spicy candidate, why have the vast majority of his victories been in caucuses. If Hillary were winning elections this way there would be all types of belly aching and charges made regarding election fraud

He doesn't really need imaginary scenarios you make up to accuse Hillary/the DNC of fraud:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-dem- ... ate-221835

Also, it's statements of yours like this that turn people off from Hillary and her supporters. Favrefan, who doesn't have a dog in the fight, mentioned earlier that the biggest thing he hates about the Clinton campaign is its sense of entitlement. Your post exemplifies this.

i have never felt that she was entitled I just felt that she was the best candidate in the field based on her knowledge of issues and experience. Her flaws don't bother me as much because I don't think that the President has to be the second coming of Mother Theresa. Its cool for politicians to have a little Machiavelli in them. Not Tupac. A person can't help but look at Sanders differently after the last interview. She has paid her dues. She worked with a guy that her husband despises for the purpose of upping her resume. She could have challenged Obama in 12 but didn't because it would have destroyed the Democratic Party. The whole entitlement/coronation thing is a media creation. Contrary to popular sentiment the Clinton years were a positive for the country. He wasnt the albotross that revisionists seek to portray him as.

He demonstrated what politics is supposed to be. Guys with opposite views coming together for the greater good of the country. He bucked ideology for the sake of policy. The last 16 years have been disastrous for the country. Nothing gets done because the guys that have served as President don't appreciate the game. Clinton and Gingrich were able to get legislation passed even as the Republicans were attempting to impeach the guy. I'd rather have that than a guy that sits on his hands and takes his ball and goes home because he wasn't chosen to play. That's Obama and I fear that it will also be Sanders.

This is why LTG can't be taken seriously when he says Clinton will fight income inequality and curb the excesses of wall street. When it's been pointed out to him numerous times that Clinton is part of the problem of inequality, his top rebuttal is to say while Clinton does problematically contribute to the problem, Sanders is even worse for failing to get people like Clinton on his side to fight said problem.

Sanders hasn't fought either.

So Hillary has not fought?

That seems....problematic

Poor Rick.

Careful, though... it's probably worse to be the unwitting ally of a troll than to be his opposition. Nas clearly doesn't believe most of what he says.

When will Citicorpbros understand that you don't get any credit for supporting or drafting legislation that sucks. It'd be more honest for LTG and Nas to just admit they believe in the inverse of every Sanders position on income inequality and campaign finance since they support a candidate who stands for the status quo on those issues.

Yup. He's clearly not religious, but he has to say some bullshit about being spiritual just to satisfy moron American voters who wouldn't vote for someone without a religious affiliation. Nevermind all the ethical and criminal things that American presidents who did claim to be religious (every single one) have done throughout history.

I think it's wrong to assume that Sanders' claims about spirituality are bullshit.

I know plenty of people who aren't the least bit religious, but I consider them incredibly spiritual. This apparent paradox is typical of self-identified Marxists and other leftists.

I think most of his voters don't care. He's not a republican so there really isn't a need to pander. I know you have to do and say what you need to to win but this isn't something that a Democrat needs to do.

Maybe. It's just bullshit that it has to be addressed. Maybe his spirituality is something very private to him.

Bernie has people speaking at campaign events calling Hillary a whore and thousands cheering. Bernie Sanders and his supporters appear to have a problem with women.

Yeah, and a Hillary supporter compared a Bernie rally to the Nazis. I didn't think the Democrats would be the ones to Godwin themselves.

Playing the gender card is a pretty transparent sign that your candidate is hard to support or defend on merit.
