When I was a young boy I found myself strangely titillated by Clea.

Why is the "Ancient One" a woman in this adaptation?

She's the same actress who played the "Borg" in Star Trek Generations movie.

They couldn't find an asian actor, like Miyagi?

Disappointed by the trailer, when I had high expectations for this flick. Maybe it will prove me wrong.

Is it because you saw the 1978 Dr. Strange movie with Jessica Walters?

She was unbelievably hot then and in that movie.

I checked what part she played. It was "Morgana Le Fey". But what was Morgana Le Fey doing in a Dr. Strange movie? She comes from the world of King Arthur and Merlin.

No, I just read the comic. I was a big fan of the Dread Dormammu. By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth!

It appears that this one could be the best 'cape' movie yet so long as they don't put him in a small but undefined 'box' like they did Scarlet Witch ... plus Cumberbatch is easily the best actor to be in one of these type of movies aside from Ben Kingsley (who was entirely wasted just for the sake of a swerve, and a shitty one at that).

That brings up an interesting question. Who are the best actors in these cape movies?

Robert Downey is a given but then who?

Well, if we're saying a person is 'tailor made' for this or that character, then Patrick Stewart, JK Simmons, and Samuel L. Jackson are the very first to come to mind.

If we're just talking big names, Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley run away with that one ... maybe then Tommy Lee Jones and Hugo Weaving perhaps. I forgot Michael Douglas.

If we're talking about who fell into their character really well irrespective of their actual acting talent level, Ryan Reynolds, RDJ, Chris Pratt, and Hugh Jackman would be at the top.

Morgana Le Fay was also a character in the comics.

DT,
No respect for Chris Evans? Not easy to play the "Boy Scout" but I thought he has done a fine job. Of course I'm partial since as a kid my comicbook collection was taken up by Avengers,Captain America & SHIELD.

He's fine, but I'm curious to see how it goes in Civil War to see if he's in the top tier.

I'm still amazed how these comic book movies have maintained popularity. Hollywood had a Western phase,a War movie phase,A spy craze phase and now this.

I never dreamed of this as a kid. Chris Reeve as Superman was a big deal but not much after that.

Personally, I think Robert Downey Jr. failed as Iron Man. Worse, they cast Gwyneth Paltrow with him.

Chris Evans is the best after Christopher Reeve. Then I'd put Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth next.

But let's not forget some of the villains from the original Batman series. Who didn't like Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, Cesar Romero as the Joker, and the lovely Julie Newmar as Catwoman? The best Joker of all was Cesar Romero. Frank Gorshin was excellent as the "Riddler", better than Jim Carrey by a mile.

Batman v. Superman had a cast of great actors, although not in starring roles. There have been some fantastic actors playing supporting roles in superhero movies lately.

I thought Tobe Maguire was close to perfect as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

No she isn't. Tilda Swinton is playing the "Ancient One". Alice Krige was the Borg Queen, and it was "Star Trek: First Contact".

Pat Morita has been dead for over 10 years.
