I don't think Chuck is dead. There's still more story to be told with Chuck, I think.

The Fring thing is interesting. I've always thought it was just a matter of time before he shows up.

I think Mike is going to get in touch with Fring's people somehow this episode to find a way to get back at Hector. Fring will show up at the very end of the episode.

How about...Chuck is hospitalized and Jimmy has him committed this time.

In BB, we know that Hector Salamanca is wheelchair-bound and speechless.
Is it from a stroke or maybe a gun shot?
Whatever happens, does it happen to him next week?
Tuco makes it to being on BB so we know that nothing is going to happen to him.
Nacho does not appear on BB.
Does Nacho get eliminated in next week's show?

I think Nacho makes it through to the BB-era of Saul, so nearly the end of the series.

Saul's first episode in Breaking Bad, he reference Ignacio doing something not him. I think we'll see what they're referring to. BCS leads up to the point where Saul is in Breaking Bad and then maybe an episode or two of him post-BB.

The tv guide description on Dish for next weeks season finale episode says "Jimmy must make a difficult choice; Mike takes matters into his own hands; Hamlin delivers shocking news."

I assume Mike shoots either Nacho, Salemaco, or both, and the news Hamlin delivers surely is about Chucks death or being permanently mamed from the head injury.

I have not watched Breaking Bad (I know)

Can I start up with this and not ruin Breaking Bad? Or is this a good lead in to it?

i haven't watched "breaking bad" first and i'm having zero problems following the show. it's superbly written. actually now i think it'll be interesting when i get around to watching "breaking bad".

if i were teaching a course on the television medium and 21st century teleplay writing, this would top my list.

It wasnt me it was Ignacio! He's the one!

At first Saul thinks they were sent by "Lalo" so I assume we'll be meeting him soon.

Then he says in Spanish. Always I am a friend to the Cartel

Peoria, don't listen to WZ, he never watched BB and anyone who hasn't watched BB is an idiot. Don't be like WZ, don't be an idiot.

Forget this show exists and go watch BB. When you are done (and it won't take you long) you can go ahead and catch up on this show.

Chuck getting a sex change would certainly be shocking news.

I would also watch BB first. It's the better, more entertaining show.

BCS is a very good show, also. But, it's not as rich of an experience to me. Also, there are many nods in BCS to BB that aren't important to your enjoyment/understanding of BCS but do make it a bit more enjoyable overall to see in BCS.

Also, BB is my top 1 or 2 shows of all-time so none of this is to disparage BCS....or the Bowl Championship Series.

Meaning, genius, it doesn't have the time commitment. If he has a spare 49 hours, good for him. I got things to do. And 49 hrs takes into consideration the subtraction of commercials, if watched through netflix.

Shakes you can't even recall what happens in most of the shit you watch. Probably best to leave you out of recommendations for people.

I'm kinda jealous you haven't had the pleasure of BB yet, greatest show in the history of television.. BCS is a decent show but its not in the same ballpark as BB.

If you've got time to watch TV you've got time to watch BB. Its really as simple as that.

Saying you don't have time to watch a TV show in a thread about a different TV show that you watch doesn't really hold up as a viable excuse.

49 hours? You've already spent 19 hours watching BCS, if you spent that on BB instead you'd be through 2 seasons already.

No reason to watch BCS until you've seen BB. Unless you like getting 80% of the enjoyment out of stuff rather than getting 100% which is exactly what you're doing now by watching BCS without seeing BB previously.

You can wax on all you want about the amazing writing on BCS and how you are still enjoying the show immensely without having seen BB, but all you are doing is rationalizing and trying to convince yourself that you didn't make a huge mistake. Don't drag Peoria down with you just cause you screwed up.

BCS is a good show, but it's not even in the same ballpark as BB. And it drops down even more notches if you haven't already seen BB.

I will eventually get to BB. I'm looking forward to it. Mainly because of how much I have liked "Saul". Not because of endorsements here. It does not hurt at all to watch a show where everything in it predates the following series. I will only be more emotionally connected to the characters referenced. God forbid that.

And the two shows come from the same peole essentially. Maybe i will say the same things about BB that i have about BCS. It can wait. Good things are worth the wait.

I think in this case it might. I love BB and BCS is one of my current favorite shows, but I have a hard time figuring out how they are going to get the Jimmy/Mike relationship in BCS to the Saul/Mike relationship in BB unless one of them gets permanent amnesia or something.

I'm not saying they can't do it but it's going to be difficult. I forgive it because I love BB so much I don't care, plus I've already seen it.

But, if I were watching BB after what I've seen of BCS so far, I'd be thinking "wait, Saul knows a guy who knows a guy who knows....but he knows Mike and Mike knows....so, is Saul lying?....what's happening here?" - none of which would be important to referenced BB scene or intended by the writers since they wrote the backstory to that scene 7 years later.

You couldn't make it past the first season of The Wire because it was "too boring". Hard to take any criticism of not watching a famous tv show from you seriously man.
