How about "The Bulls haven't made a mistake, and they're not going to make a mistake."?

 If you dump Thibodeau for Fred Hoiberg, you're incompetent. There is no spin in the world to cover that.

I look forward to the day when the Bernstein tree falls and no one is around to hear it. Then we can argue if he/it really made a sound when it hit the ground.

What do you think Dan's nightly call to Pax went like yesterday?

Dan: Johnny, they're onto us. A guy called today and said I was a mouthpiece for management. I think I might have to break bad on you, but just a little, to save face.

Paxson: Yeah, that's fine. Just make sure to have my dry cleaning dropped off by 5:00. And tell them to make sure to use the good hangers that have the padding.

Regular season games don't matter. Until you don't make the playoffs, and then well, they do.

Too many people took for granted Thib's ability to get players to work hard night in and night out. Sure it takes a toll, but the opposite situation, like Hoiberg's, is that they quit on you every night. And THAT, really takes a toll on you.

You can find plenty of coverage from REALLY SERIOUS NBA REPORTERS- guys who cover the league in far more depth and detail and have far more sources than bernstein and who aren't acting as mouthpieces for management- that discusses the way the front office undermined Thibodeau among their many other boondoggles.

I was happy to see Haugh clowning Paxson for his tough talk about an intense training camp going into next season after all the crying about the players being overworked under the previous coach.

Dan even called Thibodeau an ogre on the call yesterday when the guy told him he performed a character assassination on Thibs. As if any of us give a flying fuck what John Paxson's quality of life at work is. His job is to create a team that wins a fucking championship, and if he has to put up with a gruff coach to do it, then cry me a fucking river. A lot of people who are really good at what they do are assholes. Deal with it.

I hate the front office for what they did to Thibs. How could you not recognize the guy's commitment to coaching, and his skill in getting players to work together? That team was enjoyable to watch because they worked hard every night, many times with their best players injured. Plus you saw so many re-treads that blossomed under Thibs. He got a lot of guys paid.

Now you see what a dysfunctional team looks like. And this is the more typical case in the NBA where players decide when they are going to give effort. And complain about teammates. Or complain about the coach.

I always said your chances of replacing Thibs with a better option were less than 10%. Those guys just don't exist.

Especially when Thibs has been rumored to be gay. I guess he'd be the man in the relationship.

Maybe that's why dan hates him so much. I support LBGTIQ coaches. Julie should get on that immediately.

You guys are dreaming if you think Dan is gone after Terry leaves.

It will be afternoons with Bernstein and Rozner or Bernstein and Rongie, you can count on it.

McNeil isn't comparable to Bernstein at all. He is a drug addict who couldn't show up for work for a week or two at a time, though it seems he's cleaned up his act on the Drive. But instead of talking for a half hour each hour between 9 am and 1 pm, like he did at his Score gig, now he's talking maybe 15 minutes an hour at the Drive with the music format. Even a drug addict would have a hard time screwing that up.

My feeling is Mitch will go before Bernstein goes. He's easier to replace than Bernstein.

I don't think bernstein is gone, but I could easily see them moving him to the 9-1 slot. They have the Cubs taking up a lot of afternoons.

the best part of the show was Joe Cowley going scorched earth on Jerry and Michael. Terry, breaking from pattern agreed strongly with him. Dan just kinda hung out in the background every time those names came up.

I was listening to Rozner on hit and run. I can't imagine hearing that voice for any long stretch. Whatever Barry says in the first 15 minutes of the show just gets repeated over and over again the rest of the program. Same dumb jokes. Same silly voices. Same complaints that "people don't understand XYZ". Same self deprecating comments. It's like they record Rozner in the first segment, and then just pull a cord the rest of the show.

"Look it's a tickle me Rozner doll."

Add Mike North to Boers and Bernstein.

Make it a 3 man extravaganza and watch the ratings skyrocket! :P

He only needs to be a sounding-board/stooge for Bernstein, which he would be more than happy to accept.

You think the mid-day dorks sound better? They have no talent, whereas Rozner can at least formulate a point or argument.

No, I switch to Kap at noon, every day. I like both Goff and Speigs individually, but the show is not working.

The morning show used to be my least favorite, and now it is the only solid show on the station. They stick to current sports happenings. It is a flawed show, but still an enjoyable listen.

I cannot take Rozner. Everyone knows this. I guarantee that the CSFMB collective will tire of his sorry act within a few months. I have the unfortunate "pleasure" of having read his articles for as long as he wrote for the DH. Insufferable.

Thibs would be gay in the way J. Edgar Hoover was gay.

Thibs was great, until the playoffs started....

There is something to be said about peaking at the right time. I don't think Thibs ever understood that.

Revisionist. Aside from 2015, when did the Bulls ever underachieve in the playoffs? By underachieve, I mean a healthy Bulls team losing to a clearly inferior team.

The Wizards and 76ers series were series they probably should have won.

Most coaches don't lose to "clearly inferior teams" though so I'm not sure what that says.

Well you accused of Thibs of not winning in the playoffs, which implies that he didn't take the Bulls as far as they could go...necessarily meaning they lost to inferior teams. How are the Bulls expected to beat Philly without Rose and Noah in 2011? Rose was also out against the Wizards.
