Dumping games on channel 50 is kind of embarrassing at this point, I have to say.

Cardinals will sweep unfortunately. You know they're pumped for this series. Rockies exposed the Cubs. If you can't hit those bums then I don't know what you can do.

Ahhh, the Cubbie fan negativity. If you win the pennant you will predict a Royals WS sweep. You guys have the best young team I've ever seen and the best manager around. Granted, you lost Schwarber and that's a pill that goes down bitter, but every team loses a star or two every year.

To tell you the truth, I was starting to lose interest in the Cardinals after a lifetime of devotion.. I hung tough through the winless decades of the 70's and 90's but when the asshole that was LaRussa was hired I found it difficult to stomach baseball. The Reds' resurgence gave me a shot in the arm four years back, but this Cub club is way more interesting.

In spite of all the Cub/Cardinal rivalry talk we have never both been good in the same year. This is gonna be fun and I won't let the futility of Mike Matheny get me down, no matter what happens. The Red Sox shed their "curse" at our expense and I was pleased to be around to see it. I won't shed a tear when (if) Chicago does it.

Agreed. If the Cubs shit the bed vs the Cardinals we might get 2004 early this year.

Cubs take two. Cardinals pitching staff has nothing.

I think Lackey will be ultra motivated and pitch well in the series opener and set the tone.

Its way too early for a season defining series. There are 150 games left for fuck sakes. This series doesnt mean anything.

This is not a true statement. The Cubs, Cardinals and Pirates finished with 97, 100 and 98 wins last season.

April 2015 wins contributed to each of those win totals.

Wins in April have the same weight as wins in September.

This is a guy who won the clinching games in the World Series championships with the Red Sox and Angels. I think he has done rather well in situations where he was highly motivated and there was extra attention on the game.

Maybe so, but then you have Hamel and Hendricks.

Hammel has been the team's best starter so far, with a 0.75 ERA. He's been even better in his first 2 games than Arrieta. Hendricks has been good too. Not great, but solid, with a 2.84 ERA. That's outstanding for a 5th starter.

I'll be tuning in in 50 and listening to the next 2 on the radio, unless I can figure out how to spoof my MLB.tv into thinking i'm in Canada. Stupid blackouts

They should DL him until August 15th and then let him go on his yearly run of 12 great starts

Except when he has to face Jason Hammel and Javy Baez

The alternating comedy bits and Ligueport stalkers has really impacted the WAR of this section.

We'll see if they boo Heyward. I say he gets a polite applause. If he had been there for more than one year or developed by the team, probably more booing.
