I have no idea how Latos is getting guys out. I guess hitters just aren't used to seeing someone whose stuff is this bad. These right handed thumbers are killing me.

There can't be 4k people there.

Is Navarro the worst hitter in the majors?

Navarro isnt even the worst hitter on the Sox. Not even 4th worst.

If they win the next 2 including the Danks landmine I'll tentatively believe again. SOX ARE ON NOTICE.

He locates that curve as well as anyone. At least he has been. You can drop that thing in for a strike whenever you want, you don't need to throw 100 mph.

I was in Miami last season in for the 2nd game of the year for the Marlins VS the Braves. Latos pitched for the Marlins and couldn't get out of the first inning. He went 2/3of an inning and gave up 7 runs. but after that, his season went considerably better. But I won't be shocked to see him get rocked like Rodon did a couple nights ago, at some point this season. But he is an upgrade over what they had last year in that slot for sure. Hahn made a good signing with this one.

1200 people on their feet for 7 shutout innings from the best pitcher to ever wear to the uniform for the Sox.

It's cloudy out.

Sox should have at least 3, and maybe as many as 5 runs.

As much as I love Mark Buehrle, Sale is cut of a different cloth.

Ted Lyons.

Robertson does not have it today. Just have to keep the big guns in the ballpark.

What a crazy play, and a dumb move by Trout.

Trout has really bought the hype around himself. He's been a whiny bitch at the plate all series ("thats low man") and then he made a mockery of that play.

I'm down with winning 2-1 games, but jesus christ this team sucks at hitting the ball.

Not as bad as their tv broadcasting team. I really wanted to give the new guy a half season to find his rhythm, but Stone in his glee to be rid of Hawk has helped make the broadcasts almost unlistenable. It doesn't help that the new guy is an absolute know/feel nothing.

This is Lou Brock/Early Wynn booths bad. Neither of the old guys had a coherent word to say but generally said nothing, while now the guys now have unfunny & dull diarrhea of the mouth. I'm really starting to be grateful for Darrin Jackson.

I have only heard the one spring training game but it cannot be as bad as Early Wynn. He made Keith Moreland look sound like Curt Gowdy.

Darrin Jackson wasn't bad when he got national work and didn't have to sit next to a guy who was always leaving him out to dry.

Said it before, I'll say it again, Farmer belongs on television where he can be a homer idiot and not have to worry about doing the illustrative play-by-play he can't do.

I never heard Keith Moreland. But, Stone & the new guy add nothing to the game except noise. Increasingly painful noise.

Stone's attempts at regular guy talk/jocularity verge on obscenely bad. The new guy (I now refuse to try to remember his name in hope that he's a one and done) adds nothing. He's Thom Brennaman without legitimate baseball knowledge. He really is better served calling Catholic League games on public access for awhile. At least in IHSA games, it isn't a certainly that the players there don't have a better feel for the game than the does.

Darrin Jackson wasn't bad when he got national work and didn't have to sit next to a guy who was always leaving him out to dry. You're 100% correct. I've said that before myself. It's just that I'm so pissed at listening to this crap...even with a win.

Said it before, I'll say it again, Farmer belongs on television where he can be a homer idiot and not have to worry about doing the illustrative play-by-play he can't do. Correct again.
