Can't imagine a team doing worse than the Reds did tonight. Humiliated in every respect...letting Ross and Zobrist get their first homers, giving up two hits and a walk to Arrieta, getting pounded for 18 hits and 16 runs, and not coming close to a hit.

Officially? Nay.

My money is on OD.

Didn't want to start another thread, but the Reds and Dodgers deserve shoutouts for some of their self-deprecating tweets tonight.

The dodgers tweeting to the Reds about the next meeting for the Arrieta no-hit support group was pretty good. What did the Reds tweet out?

They replied that they would bring the Budweiser.

Their tweet link to the game article was headlined "Reds walk 4 times against Cubs."

He had to alter a flight plan a few weeks because of a medical emergency.

Jon Moscat pitches for the Reds tomorrow against Jon Lester. Moscat is 1-2 with an 8.21 ERA. I like the Cubs chances to go to 2-0 in the series tomorrow, if they don't celebrate tonight's 16-0 win, featuring Arriets'a No-hitter too much.

I just hope Lester doesn't follow Arrieta up with a shitty performance complete with throws to first that bounce twice before getting to Rizzo. Hopefully, Hamilton is still out tonight, so he can't hold a bunt-a-thon on Lester. As much as I can look at Lester's ERA and that suggests that he should have an easy win tonight VS Moscat, the guy just instills no confidence, with his inability to hold runners or throw to bases. So the only real solution is to follow up Arrieta's No-Hitter with a perfect game! That way, there are no runners to worry about! Problem solved.

This is something that concerns me. When a team scores big like the Cubs did yesterday, I worry about a letup in the following game. I also am concerned that the Reds will have yesterday's game serve as a wake-up call and come out ready and focused tonight. I love the defensive alignment tonight though, with Baez at 3rd, Bryant in LF and the rest of the lineup as usual. As well as Bryant has played at 3rd, Baez is better there in my opinion especially important tonight, if the Reds decide to try laying down bunts for hits and Bryant is probably the best LF candidate currently. So Lester should have a very good defensive team behind him tonight.

Relax Steve. Each game counts the same, whether you get ass rammed by Darkside's horse or get another Arrieta gem. The Cubs are going to be fine, and these April games aren't high stakes. You need to drink some of the Maddon chill-ade.

I am into every game. I watch or listen to every one. Yet at the end of the season, if they have had a great year (like in 2003 or 2007 & 2008) I still have the ability to appreciate the season and look back on it favorably, even if it ended with disappointment. A championship would be great, but it will not alter my life in any significant way. I will have just paid out ridiculous sums to attend playoff games and hopefully World Series games. In the end, it won't have made a big difference though and I know that. But I still will follow every game closely, because I love the game.

I give credit to the box of Rizzos that I put up on the living room shelf for Rizzo being hot the last few games. You're welcome guys.

If Votto isn't going to bust out of his slump this series than the Cubs should win every game. No excuses. No sympy.
