based on Chicagoland population estimates in 2016 there are about 9,686,021 people in the area
according to US cenus about 10 % of the population is over age 70

so in Chicagoland alone there are almost 1 millin people iover the age of 70 and the last Cubs pennat was 71 years ago.

Granted not all of them are Cubs fans but I am sure that in the rest of the population there are a few more Cubs fans.....
