The Cubs do look like a great regular season team.

 I don't think Nas was really being complimentary either. Also, Golden Jet is a good contributor. He deserves more than being referred to as "that other guy". Show some respect, for God's sake.

Still....you don't don't know dick about baseball..I would have put the over-under pre season @ 98... They are on pace to cover..yesss I know, heyward, Rizzo and Arrietta peaked

JORR knows probably more about baseball than everyone posting here. His opinions can be awful though.

Sort of like you and Da Bears

I know this is a "haha, funny" type of thing, but someone reading the board for the first time might actually believe it's true, and I'd hate for someone to mistakenly think that Rick is a know-it-all.

Let's be careful about what we post.

I don't care how many games they win as long as they get to the World Series ..... It would be awesome for Chicago and the MLB if it's a Cubs White Sox World Series!

I really wish Cubs fans would stop saying this. No one gives two shits what the Sox do. Let's stop pretending.

I agree, but the possibility is out there for it to happen.......so it will be a popular re-hashed topic all summer....

The possibility is not out there because the Cubs are not going to be playing in a World Series anytime soon.

A better question would be how long does it take to get to 100 wins.

I say 115 games.

Subway Series '77

Wasn't that a thing for a month or so back in the summer of '77?

I think until about June. The Cubs came out smokin' that year. The Sox lasted well into August. The '77 team is the Sox equivalent of the '69 Cubs.

I just looked it up. On June 28, 1977 the Cubs were 47-22 and the Sox were 40-31.

The first time they both made the postseason since 1906!

Srew the idea of the Sox making the playoffs too. I want the Sox to fall apart like a cheap suit. For their bullpen to give away leads and implode regularly and miss the wild card by 1 game, so it is as painful as possible as they watch the vastly superior Cubs march onto a World Series title, after winning over 100 regular season games and the NL Central division title.

I have enjoyed your pain in April.

If the Cubs don't win the WS, I hope it's because they lose to Dusty Baker. That would amuse me at least.

I don't usually like to respond to the trolling of jealous Cub fans, but I would point out that the term "June Swoon" isn't used in reference to the White Sox.

No and I expect the Sox swoon to begin in May. That term also doesn't refer to THIS CUBS TEAM. There is no reason for any Cubs fan to be jealous of the Sox. The Cubs are the superior team. If you think otherwise, I'll be happy to bet you on their final regular season records, or who goes deeper in the playoffs. $500.00?
