This morning listening to M&H Cubs play by play man Len Kasper said the Arrieta trade the best ever

They traded Samardzija for a Hall of Famer and Billy McKinney.

I guess he's never heard of Babe Ruth. Oh yeah, Schwarber was a draft pick.

Was this supposed to be a discussion of best trade ever in MLB or best Cubs trade ever?

Some guy called into Laurence's show a week or two ago and said the floor for this year is 98 wins.

I was wrong about that one. It happens occasionally. In fairness, I think I said it before they had actually won 97.

No.

Mully referenced Heyman, who made that claim, in the question. Kasper replied that he didn't know about that but that it was one of the best trades the Cubs have made.

It's funny because as numbers go, the Sosa for George Bell had to be...until it "wasn't".

What about Aramis Ramirez? Sweet deal as far as I remember that paid short-term and long-term dividends.

Best trade by the Cubs. I have to go with the Sammy Sosa trade. George Bell for a guy who went on to hit over 600 homers, including 3 years of 60 or more, which is unequaled in Baseball history.

Yeah, you said they were not going to make the playoffs last year too. You said lots of dumb stuff. Then you said there was no way they would win as many this year. I said not only would they win as many, but they would win 100 or more. Wait and see, you will be wrong AGAIN.

Lenny is pretty renowned for saying ridiculous shit. He'd be Hawk if he weren't so bland.

Len told me that Soler's body needed to mature.

Mon Chi Chi Rozner said that Heyward was worth the money they paid him based only on the runs he saved defensively.

Replace using heroin with a White Sox fan trolling the Cubs section and it all starts to make sense.
"Deon" was addicted to heroin. Here, he describes the drug's effects on his life.
Just after I'd shoot up, I'd get an amazing rush. I'd be on top of the world. Once the high really set in, my mind would get slow and fuzzy. It'd feel like I was sinking into the floor. I'd forget if I was asleep or awake, and time just passed me by. I got hooked quick.

After a while, I needed heroin just to get by. Too long without a fix, and…I can't even describe it. It's like I was dying in every awful way you could think of, all at once. Pain in all my bones, throwing up, chills, and I couldn't sleep for days.

He is a very good defensive player. So is Almora. To make the money he gets, he should be a superior defender AND hitter.
