First fix the Offensive line. They need a tackle and 2 guards. Whether they get them from free agency or through the draft, they must get them. Look at the Vikings, even with crappy wide receivers and a poor quarterback, they win because they have a very good O-line. That makes the running game far better and gives even mediocre quarterbacks a chance to get the job done. I like Fargas too. He runs hard and wants the ball. Plus he can catch the ball well also. Heck, maybe they should try getting Aaron Rodgers. He looked great in the game Favre got hurt and he's had the chance to develop while backing uo Favre, rather than being rushed as so many are today. If Favre is going to play a few more years, maybe Green Bay would consider a trade. He's more ready to contribute than some college kid would be.

I don't think GB would consider trading Aaron Rodgers to the Bears unless we gave twice as much as everyone else, maybe three times.

From a statistical standpoint, Brian Urlacher is kicking Lance Briggs ass at:

INTs
Sacks
Tackles (unofficial stat)
TDs
GAMES PLAYED (despite being hurt)

All this DESPITE the fact that Lance Briggs is playing the 'PLAYMAKER LB POSITION' in Lovie's beloved defense.

The Bears defense didn't miss a beat without Briggs today.

Mr. Briggs punched his ticket out of town by not playing today.

Good riddance imho... Extend Tommie Harris's contract and seriously consider keeping Berrian beyond this year - as the Bears defense played BETTER without Briggs today.

The defense played well without Vasher as well, but I wouldn't base one game on judging the defense.

I tend to agree that Briggs is bye-bye though.

Well Nate isn't a free agent asking for $20+ Million guaranteed either. ;)

I think Briggs had a shit season with a couple of flashes of above average play. I hope some shit team signs him so he can 'be the man'. He'll fit in good down in Miami.

Sounds like the catapult (from "Life of Brian") is all warmed up. Can we next launch Moose Mohammed?

Moose should have been launched after Orton hit him RIGHT between the numbers in the end zone. Kyle should have thrown Moose under the bus to the media after the game like Moose did to Orton a couple of years ago.

I'd question if you had any nuts, seeing that your wife is peeking over your shoulder while you're on the internet. She belongs in the kitchen cooking you some food.

I don't understand why people think Anderson is going anywhere, nor why Minnesota wants another QB - that young Tavaris Jackson has been playing pretty well as of late.

Anderson is only 24. He's 6'6". He could be a future ELITE QB. He's got just as much potential to be Elite QB as any rookie drafted QB last year or this year. His stats for the year are 85QB rating 3,600 yards passing 30/16 TD/Int ratio.

I know the stats are not in the elite category yet, teams never trade away their Brady or Manning. Anderson's got a good chance to develop into something more.

TJacks is a little injury prone. He's the 30th ranked QB by rating w/ a 6/10 TD/int ratio. His stats are horrible. Then you throw in he's got the best running game statically (not opinion) in the SB era and you have a pretty bad QB.

maybe the bears can trade draft picks for cleveland's backup....the second coming of rick mirer, brady quinn.

Cleveland would not get fair value back for Quinn now they won't trade him. Not only that, the cap hit would be crazy. I totally agree that Quinn could be the 2nd coming of Mirer. That's why like Anderson. You never know how a rookie is going to turn out.

Turner must go!!!!

True Dat! I've been a Turner backer until I did a comparison of Turner against Shoupe and Shaye. I found out that Turner hasn't been any better.

trade down in the first round and third round - and then sign the Cleveland QB to a contract - giving up a low first and third in return.

After all, they have San Diego's 3rd rounder in the '08 draft.

This is what I hope will happen. If you look at the draft point system you can see that if the Bears have the 14th pick and trade down to say 29 we could pick up an early 3rd round pick. So basically the off season could be Anderson + our 2nd and two 3rd round picks along w/ our other picks.

I like Anderson to but if he comes here he will not be throwing to Edwards, Jurevicious or Winslow. That might make all the difference in the world.

If you look at the draft point system

Wow, according to that chart, you'd have to give up your entire draft to move up into the #1 slot!

Wait a minute.....
