I have to think that Prince had a clearly defined will.

By Ryan Parry, Emma Foster and Martin Gould For Dailymail.com

Prince's former drug dealer has revealed the full extent of the late-star's secret drug addiction - telling how the superstar was hooked on powerful opiates for over 25 years.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Online, the performer's long-time dealer - who asked to be named only as Doctor D - revealed the singer would spend up to $40,000 a time on six-month supplies of Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches - both highly addictive opioid pain killers.

No will, per his sister.

Prince’s sister says he had no known will
POSTED 11:24 AM, APRIL 26, 2016, BY ASSOCIATED PRESS

MINNEAPOLIS — Prince’s sister says the superstar musician had no known will and she’s filed paperwork asking a Minneapolis court to appoint a special administrator to oversee his estate.

Tyka Nelson filed the paperwork Tuesday in Carver County probate court. Prince died at age 57 on Thursday at his estate in suburban Minneapolis. No cause of death has yet been released.

Nelson is his only surviving full sibling.

Nelson says in her filing that an emergency exists because immediate action is necessary to manage Prince’s business interests. She’s asked that Bremer Trust, a corporate trust company, be named administrator.

With some $27 million in property and an outpouring of nostalgia over the pop star’s death, Prince’s heirs could stand to inherit a small fortune. The size of the fortune isn’t clear, and recent disputes suggest money was tight.

Why are you so sensitive and combative about music? It was a joke.

I like Prince a lot. The social media reaction was a bit over the top and involved a lot of posing, imo.

If you want to marginalize A Tribe Called Quest and Digable Planets, that's fine. I will not respond in anger. Cause that would be embarrassing pink.

According to his sister. Who knows what their relationship was like. They could have been estranged, and now she sees a big payday. Situations like this tend to bring out the worst in people.

I was referring to Don Tiny's post, not yours.
I believe you are a true hip hop fan, and you probably DID care about Phife Dawg,
but I saw way more posing about his death on my FB wall. Prince was an icon. I don't know dick about ATCQ.
A lot of people are gonna lose their shit when Jordan, Madonna, AXL, Bono, etc. die too.
It's the nature of the beast. EVERYONE knew who Prince was, so I'm sure there has been a lot of posturing.
But personally, it kicked me in the balls, and hasn't gone away.

Then perhaps take a modicum of effort to clarify to whom you're referring to so the rest of us can better understand who you're attempting to take to task in your retorts. For example, as I don't have the slightest fucking idea who Phife Dawg is, I couldn't possibly begin to figure how that reference was supposed to lead back to me.

You indicate your mourning was from a genuine place and I have no problem with that and also have no particular reason to doubt you.

My post was partly in jest but also more a decrying of the needlessly maudlin exploitation of Prince's death by seemingly every publication, radio and tv station, not to mention the interwebz, in order to basically posture as to who was the best 'griever' - with all the sincerity of when they line 'em up in Best Korea to publicly cry about the death of Dear Leader while party leaders stand around with their pencil and notepad KEEPING SCORE on who cries the best.

What a mess

https://www.yahoo.com/news/court-order- ... tml?ref=gs

Quote:
Court order narrows Prince's potential heirs to 6

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota judge overseeing Prince's estate has ordered genetic testing for a handful of people claiming to be heirs and tossed out claims from nearly 30 others.

Carver County Judge Kevin Eide on Friday ordered testing for four purported siblings or half-siblings — Tyka Nelson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson and John Nelson — plus a supposed niece and grand-niece, Brianna Nelson and Victoria Nelson.

Prince died April 21 of a drug overdose. The process of resolving his estate has fallen to the courts because Prince had no known children and no known will.

The judge's order rules out several unidentified people who claimed Prince was their biological father. It also excludes people who claimed Prince's father was someone other than the man identified in court records.

Of all the fucked up shit this year. All the drama with the election. All the deaths. This one hit me hardest. Not just for who but for how and what for.
Prince was it seems always there in the background to the soundtrack of my life. Even though I am more of a Rock(Rush) or country guy , there was something about his sound that I could just always find room in my listening time to have in there. His music honestly was magic. It was something that got into you when you heard it, never to get old. Even the stuff he let others do was great.
Gonna miss him, I hope they release only the halfway decent stuff from the vaults. Supposedly there are at least 3 full length movies in there along with Videos and hundreds of songs.
