Am I to understand that 'Score Hello' has had the old kibosh put on it? If so, why is that?

No advance warning that "You are on the air" thus person could sue CBS for putting them on the air...

Yes, I am aware they called the station in the first place and you would think common sense would win that argument, but then we have Lawers.

'What if my client, hit redial accidentally and the person using the phone prior called WSCR and then while waiting for what they thought was Jimmy Johns, my client placed an order and gave his credit card number on the air and now he has $3,700,000 in internet porn, walmart orders and various vape internet sites charges on said Visa...all because he was not made aware he was playing the hello game."

i just assumed it was because they were afraid of what an unscreened caller would say on air... a few months ago bernstein made mention of the CBS lawyers killing score hello

Why couldn't a screened caller say something problematic? And as for the "on the air" warning, why couldn't you tell them they are on the air. Wasn't Score hello just callers who hadn't been screened for relevance?

Sorry billy ... cripes, I even replied to the thread ... ... thanks to you and BF ... in a convoluted sort of way, they are both 'understandable' explanations.

SCORE HELLO, was uscreened callers, who didnt know they are on the air.

The unscreened part isnt the problem as they havee a 6 second dealy so when the SHIT or FUCK word is dropped, they just drop the caller and it doesnt make it to the air.

However, the basic theory is that you cant broadcast someones comments without them knowing.

Once again, you could easily argue that the person called the station, which is true, but that person called for a purpose and if you put them on hold and then just put them on live without notice, while Neil from Northlake is calling his wife a Caller Bob to his buddies at work and Neil didnt know he was on the air, and Neils wife then wants a divorce, yeah, WSCR has an issue.

At the same time, I could probably make the case with every call to the Score. "My client wanted to talk about the Cubs/Sox attendance issue, Dan Bernstein said "WE ARENT DOING THAT SHOW" and Hung up on my client, who has now been in clinical depression ever since that day. He has lost his job and his wife left him after that" Yes, it is a stretch and foolish, but so is...playing "Score Hello" could open the door to legal issues.

I guess the legal team for the last 25 years sucked then?

Just bring back CANEING!

Believe what you want, but I'm sticking to my statement.
