Replace using heroin with a White Sox fan trolling the Cubs section and it all starts to make sense.
"Deon" was addicted to heroin. Here, he describes the drug's effects on his life.
Just after I'd shoot up, I'd get an amazing rush. I'd be on top of the world. Once the high really set in, my mind would get slow and fuzzy. It'd feel like I was sinking into the floor. I'd forget if I was asleep or awake, and time just passed me by. I got hooked quick.

The funny thing is, that wasn't '70's night.

I guess he's never heard of Babe Ruth. Oh yeah, Schwarber was a draft pick.

You should probably take a week off after this one.

Kasper does say a fuckton of exaggerated things on the score. I get that he is a salesman for the team but it's a bit much. Or maybe it wouldn't bug me as much if the ass slurping hosts weren't hanging on his every word.

It was a great one sided trade.
I'm pleased with the results.

Here. This. This is just fucking ridiculous. I'm a Cubs meatball, I fully admit it, but I'm pretty sure this isn't going to happen.

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/04/25/oddsmaker-adjusts-cubs-overunder-win-total-to-a-staggering-116-5/

Oddsmaker Adjusts Cubs’ Over/Under Wins Total To A Staggering 116.5

One oddsmaker has reacted accordingly.

William Hill has adjusted its Cubs over/under win total to a staggering 116.5.

.@Cubs hype reached an all time high here in Vegas; new prop via @WilliamHillUS 2016 Win Total Over 116.5 : +1500 Under 116.5 : -4000

Todd Fuhrman (@ToddFuhrman) April 25, 2016

There’s significance to the 116.5 line. The MLB record for wins in a season is 116, shared by the 1906 Cubs and the 2001 Seattle Mariners. Those Cubs went 116-36, while those Mariners went 116-46.

The Cubs are currently on a 119-win pace. They also boast a plus-68 run differential in just 19 games, which easily outpaces the Cardinals’ plus-40 mark that’s second-best in the league.

Well, unless he's going to be the MVP this year he won't really surpass last year.

I'm going with '14-'15 as his career peak.

His Castro-like downward spiral is on the horizon, though he may be able to hold on this year to flat line.

With an option to amend this to 14-16 if this season also goes real well?

Would you bet against him knocking in 114 runs this year?

I saw where Rizzo has had more runners on base for his at bats so far this season than any other hitter in the league. That was about a week ago, but may still be true. If that trend continues, 114 RBI is certainly possible. Lots of chances to drive in runners. Of course, part of that equation involved Dexter Fowler being on base just over 50% of the time, going into last night's game. I have to expect that will not continue.
