Bryant rolled his ankle rounding the bases earlier ... being evaluated ... as a player and a person.

Down by 6, the Brewers send a runner with 1 out???? Odd.

Cahill is a ground ball pitcher and there was only one out.

For someone who claims to know baseball...

Risk reward. The 1 run is not going to get them back into the game, but giving up an out (if the runner is thrown out) when you need a big rally is a huge risk.

Holy shit, Baez took a walk. This is bigger news than Arrieta's no-hitter.

I would guess he might start at 3rd tomorrow VS Atlanta if Bryant's ankle needs a day off. I like it. I want to see Baez get regular starts. Not in place of Bryant so much. Ideally Bryant is in LF and Baez at 3B.

Strop in the 9th to finish it up? I would, just to save the rest of the bullpen from unnecessary use.

But Joe will have Neil Ramirez finish it instead.

Wouldn't giving up two outs be worse than giving up one out?

They should be playing for a big inning and trying to steal a base, introduces risk (getting thrown out) that has the potential to interfere with that. Are you new to the game?

They analyzed the risk and deemed it to be acceptable. Cahill gets an extremely large volume of ground balls. And it wasn't a straight steal...the batter swung at the pitch.

You are a fucking moron. White Sox fans know this. Cubs fans know this. Baseball fans know this.

The situation was a 1 ball 0 strike count. It was not a hit and run, but a straight steal with the batter taking the pitch. How the Cubs are getting 2 outs there I have no idea. The only way they get an out at all, is if the runner gets thrown out. I can see a hit and run there, but not a straight steal.

False.

You said "down by 6 runs."

The Brewers only attempted one steal when the score was 7-1. That was in the 7th inning. Perez stole second on a 3-2 count to Villar. Villar struck out on the pitch.

In fact, all other steal attempts were against Arrieta. Arrieta never had a 6 run lead.

WRONG.....the steal in the 7th was with 1 out on a 1-0 count . Perez off Cahill.
