What have the Vikings done?

The Jets made a few conference title games.

Vikings have more or less been respectable or competitive, and they look to be in a much better position going forward. They also never hired Marc Trestman to coach their team. As you alluded to earlier, we are talking about pretty low bars here.

Yes, run by a horribly unqualified family. The toilet bowl that is Soldier Field is emblematic of it.

I believe the Bears' record since the 2002 season, the start of 32 teams and the current scheduling matrix, is exactly .500. With all the .500 +/-1 seasons they had from 2008-2013 and the 11-5 2010 team offset by the 5-11 Dr. Death season (EDIT: and Lovie's 2004 5-11 offset by 2005's 11-5!), that certainly sounds right.

I'd say the Bears are a completely average NFL franchise. The problem is they carry themselves as an elite one. Can you imagine if the Bengals acted like the Bears?

The fact that nobody brought up the Lions yet means we should prune this thread and start over.

I thought the Lions went without saying.

Oh, and my mistake, it appears the Bears are 111-113 since 2002. Flip one win and they're there. More importantly, they've only made the playoffs three times in those fourteen years and 4 in the last 21, which is surely well below average. That's a lot of not playing playoff games.

This is why Bears fans are the worst. Who the fuck voted "no" besides RFDC? The Bears are clearly a terribly run organization, and there is no argument to the contrary. They are extremely lucky to run such a popular team, and they still squander it. Unbelievable that anyone would vote "No."

They are probably equal to or worse than just about every other organization though

The Bears are an organization that is on Autopilot, we have seen a miserable effort for the past 8 years and in NFL years, thats like 25 years.

Take the Bears ownership and put them in Jacksonville and take Kahn and Co and give them the Bears, you would see jags falter everywhere and the bears flourish.

Browns - No doubt
Raiders - Poorly run, but a team without a home, congrats on being better then them
Jaguars - NO, Jags are in Redneckville, but a much better Organization
Titans -Titans better organization
Bills - Bears lite. Captive audience, loves football, futal efforts.
Vikings? - Vikings so much more well run

Bears are the most popular team in the NFL by all TV and Radio measurements over the past 10 years, which has been a bad run, yet still average big media numbers.

With all that, the #9 valued team?

Tells me this team has inherent worth no matter how it is run.

I do believe George has done a better job and really wants to make them great again! He even knows it isnt in him, the problem is the guy who is the President is a complete Schmuck!

Exactly.

George, unlike Mike, knows he doesn't belong in the draft room giving input.

If Pace doesn't work out, then Ted will be gone.

Why would Ted be gone? We were told he is not involved in football operations. Shouldn't Ernie Accorsi be fined?

You can't be that thick.

Because he hires the people who run the football operations.

Oh, OK. I'm surpised a sterling organization run by the McCaskeys would allow a lie like that to be uttered by an employee.

So the Bears don't win a Super Bowl in forever and Ted isn't fired. They hire a guy to find them a GM because they can't do it successfully. The GM brings in the coach. And if they fail, then Ted is fired?

You seem to have no grasp or knowledge on things like org charts and basic business operations.

So the Bears don't win a Super Bowl in forever and Ted isn't fired. They hire a guy to find them a GM because they can't do it successfully.

Ted hired the last GM that brought them to a Super Bowl. In the real world, that will buy you some forgiveness on your next mistake.

The GM brings in the coach. And if they fail, then Ted is fired?

Ted hired the guy who put the next GM in place. (See org chart reference above). If he fails, Ted has already said he may be next.

I'd map the org chart thing out if I thought that you may actually read it.

So the Bears make, not win, one Super Bowl during his regime and that is enough to keep his job?

In the "real world" what other major market team would have allowed Ted to keep his job this long? Or to have Tes in this position to begin with?

Do you understand how their org chart works or not? You can find it on Wikipedia.

Ok, great. Still doesn't answer the question as to which major market team would have hired Teddy as President in the 1st place.

Is this a serious question? He works for a major market team already.

Admit it, you have no idea how he got his job.

And you have even less of an idea of any other team and their President's qualifications.

Yet you have followed the Cubs around like a lost puppy since birth.

I still can't figure out what Seacrest's point is. Could be me though.

Calling you out for accusing someone of lying, without actually knowing how their organizational chart works, hardly makes me ZZ.

I'm still waiting for YOU to defend your statement. I've even pointed out where you can find their org chart to try and do so.
