can a soccer fan give an accurate NFL or MLB comparison to help me understand how weird it is for this team to win the premier league?

Put it this way, Illinois, Indiana and Colorado are a 2000-1 chance to win the National Championship in College Football this year.

Leicester was 5000-1

I'd be willing to guess, the odds are such that they'll finish bottom 3 next year as supposed to top 3.

I think a good comparison would be the ncaa tournament - a 16 seed winning the whole championship. However for it to be a true comparison to LCFC this year, the 16 seed would have to win every game by 30.

sucks for Tottenham. They had almost an equally great season. Had they won today and then won once more with Leicester losing, Spurs would have been champs.

Lotta chippyness between Chelsea and the Spurs during the game today. And then a bit of a donnybrook broke out between the teams after it was over.

I think it would be like the Browns winning the Super Bowl next year.

Yes... in fact, the Cubs had a pitcher named Jon Leicester a few years ago, pronounced the same as the current pitcher.

Put it this way. 1980 USA hockey was a 1000 to 1 dog to win the Gold. 1999 St. Louis Rams were 300 to 1 to win the SB. Buster Douglas was 42 to 1 to beat Tyson. Lecister City was 5000 to 1 to win the league.

I do agree that the need to be D'bagged though, but for a different reason. Yesterday they have the chance to accomplish the greatest upset in sports history so do they do it up right with a big watch party at the stadium or at least a private viewing party for the organization? No, instead they had 20 players gather at one of the player's apartments by themselves to watch the game. Meanwhile, the fans were all crammed into a bar downtown.

They really dropped the ball on that.

Even Leicester City has won a title since 1908.

Im surprised that the media craziness didnt happen until after the game yesterday. Seems to me even the chance it could happen would have been a story. I would have followed it and I never follow Soccer.
