Explain the love for this band. My friend plays lap steel for them and I just don't get their popularity. They are not bad musicians but I don't see anything that really sets them apart or makes them interesting.

What's to explain? You like it, or you don't.

They are excellent musicians who put on a great prog rock/jam band show every night.

I could ask people to explain the love they have for the bands listed here, but I don't care what other people like. Umphrey's would blow them all of the stage anyway.

Don't get me wrong I am not taking issue with it at all I just never saw what made them stand out I am always interested in anyone's opinion on a band they love where I don't see it. It helps me listen to them from a different perspective if you dig.

For all the Dylan listers how does Where Are You Tonight rank for all of you. I am a passing Dylan fan but that is no doubt one of my favorite tracks.
