I wasn't sure this was worthy of a new thread so I made a show thread. Anyway pretty typical of their show is to allude to secrets they know without being able to tell us all. They have the inside scoop all the time. They claim they would be sued and so on.

Well this guy/page has no trouble going strong on the hockey players as cheaters subject with names. So either B&B no nothing or are chickenshit you decide.

I totally believe a teammate's wife slept with twelve top players.

Brendan Shanahan stealing Craig Janney's wife is on the record. Some of these stories I recognized (Kesler, Sharp, Lindros), the rest were news to me but not unthinkable.

The craziest story of hockey adultery that I've ever heard was that Lloyd Pettit's wife had an affair with none other than Bill Wirtz.

I'm a bit jealous of hockey in that regard. Part of me still wants to believe the Kostner-Ripken story.

Precisely. The best thing about the Cal story is that there is the perfect amount of crazy in it to make it 100% plausible.

I think I've mentioned this before. When I was driving from Vegas to LA on my first honeymoon, we had the radio on and some shock jock on an LA station was running through that story. Costner himself actually called up in an unhinged state and started raking the guy on the air.

He really hates people that aren't exactly like him.

(CBS) Cue the grumbling downstate goobers.

The University of Illinois has announced the beginning of the typically unwieldy process to select a new school mascot, finally trying to exorcise the ghost of the banned Chief Illiniwek. The sports teams will remain the Fighting Illini, but they will be cheered on by something else in a silly suit and a bulbous plastic head.

Committee meetings will produce nominations and an ultimate successor to the racist symbol of the Chief, and the townie loyalists are sure to hate whatever it is, removing their “Make America Great Again” hats long enough to stick some feathers in their hair in protest. It’s not from any real feelings for native Americans, just the desire to be allowed to offend an ethnic group because doing so used to be OK before smart people knew better.

They’ll hate whatever it is, and perhaps the rest of us will too, considering how this university gets so much wrong.

But Kirby the KornKob, Combie the Combine or Sid the Annual Federal Agricultural Subsidy is on his way.

Is it take your unnecessary shot at the fine citizens of Illinois (south of I-80, except Terry Boers) day?

I'm sure the irony is lost on bernstein, but the entire point of racism or sexism or any "ism" is to make oneself feel superior to those belonging to another group. This is exactly what bernstein likes to do with millions of people living in Illinois but outside the Chicago metropolitan area.

Excellent point, JORR.

I would laugh if, by some unlikely twist of fate, one of his kids winds up going there.

A story like this is great news for Bernsie. He can put it on autopilot for the rest of the week and cruise right into the weekend.

Work on it for a few years and you can fill out the foursome at Westmoreland with Noisewater, bigfan, and me.

From the Baltimore Sun...http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/sun-investigates/bs-md-sun-investigates-ripken-divorce-20160430-story.html

When former Oriole Cal Ripken Jr. and his wife, Kelly, divorced last week, the documents were placed under seal in Baltimore County Circuit Court.

That's not the case for most divorces.

Divorces, as with other civil court cases, are presumed to be open to the public. But under Maryland's Rules of Procedure, cases can be sealed from public view when the court finds a "special and compelling reason" to do so. Sealed cases do not show up in Maryland's online judicial case search.

The Maryland Rules of Procedure also say court orders to seal cases should be public, but that's not the case in the Ripkens' divorce. The Baltimore Sun has requested that the Baltimore County Circuit Court make the order available to the public.

I'm paraphrasing but Stone just said "Addition by subtraction, it's not denigrating those who are gone but it allowed them to put better players in".

I don't think he knows what "Addition by subtraction" is.

Just to play Playgirl's Advocate, you could give up a good player and improve. Im thinking of the Phillies trading of Thome to make room for Howard.
