That last caller was an idiot. And he bragged about being able to pay in full for his kids education at Illinois without any student loans

Dan mocked that, like it wasn't a big deal to pay for a state school without any loans. University of Illinois is what? 20k per year?

I know Dan's Dad paid for Duke in full without loans. I know Dan will be able to pay for Northwestern for his kids.

But if Bernstein looked around at all of the producers at the SCORE, they're not able to do so for their kids. Drinky, Zawaski and Ostrowski won't be able to do so. So he kind of made them feel small in ridiculing the caller. Who was a dumb ass. But it still shows how Bernstein looks down at people.

I don't think he knows what "Addition by subtraction" is.

Just to play Playgirl's Advocate, you could give up a good player and improve. Im thinking of the Phillies trading of Thome to make room for Howard.
Yeah, but wouldn't that be addition by addition?

"Pseudo" being the key portion.

Hey buddy, he can misquote Don Quixote with the best of them, and say "Cervantes" with that ethnic flair, too.

(CBS) Cue the grumbling downstate goobers.

The University of Illinois has announced the beginning of the typically unwieldy process to select a new school mascot, finally trying to exorcise the ghost of the banned Chief Illiniwek. The sports teams will remain the Fighting Illini, but they will be cheered on by something else in a silly suit and a bulbous plastic head.

Committee meetings will produce nominations and an ultimate successor to the racist symbol of the Chief, and the townie loyalists are sure to hate whatever it is, removing their “Make America Great Again” hats long enough to stick some feathers in their hair in protest. It’s not from any real feelings for native Americans, just the desire to be allowed to offend an ethnic group because doing so used to be OK before smart people knew better.

They’ll hate whatever it is, and perhaps the rest of us will too, considering how this university gets so much wrong.

But Kirby the KornKob, Combie the Combine or Sid the Annual Federal Agricultural Subsidy is on his way.

I'm sure the irony is lost on bernstein, but the entire point of racism or sexism or any "ism" is to make oneself feel superior to those belonging to another group. This is exactly what bernstein likes to do with millions of people living in Illinois but outside the Chicago metropolitan area.

It reminds me of grad school. I'm sure I was a d-bag, too, but I was particularly attuned to the blindness over class and region bias.

Ok. I did a quick google search and saw 20k. That was probably old.

So Dan laughs at people that can't afford 35k a year for their kids tuition without loans. Meanwhile, he does commercials for a loan shark.

I know. But he's saying 70% of the tax money that supports U of I comes from Chicago and the Chicago suburbs. And most of the student enrollment comes from Chicago and the Chicago suburbs. Ya know, the smart people like him.

See, Dan doesn't like uneducated/poor racists like the townies in Champaign. He only likes the educated/elite racists. His kind. He doesn't like the construction worker telling the girl on the sidewalk that she has nice boobs. That's the wrong type of sexist. But it's Ok for him to do so.

 Around 5:20, Dan was cutting to break and told people to stay tuned for "White Sox baseball". Terry tried correcting him, but Dan awkwardly refused to acknowledge it.

This probably proves that he is a Sox fan, FWIW.

Terry was trying to give Dan the business about many media folks liking the Bear's draft. Danny was having none of it and said they were as useless as mock drafts and on and on. I gave Terry credit but just chuckled anyway. "Jason mock drafts are useless and stupid. Now go write me up one".

It's weird as hell. You can tell he hates all animals.

Then he said "I also have nice wood floors in good condition!"

What a fuckin' pud.

That'll be important when he flips the house and moves to the burbs after NFL Draft Expert Jason Bernstein doesn't make North Side Prep. GET RID OF YOUR DOG FOR YOUR DAMN KID.

Dan's turned into Skip Bayless, but even worse than Skip (who knows he is just playing character) Dan actually thinks that when he trolls he is on the RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY. His lazy toothless towny caricature of those in Champaign is funny considering he probably hasn't stepped foot there in 15 years. I went there last year for the first time in 10 years and was impressed how built up the downtown is becoming.

I only listen to transition, but even that has become quite tedious. I will never click on an article with a byline from Señor on it, particularly when the headline gives away his Baylessian take.

Isn't hating animals, along with bedwetting and starting fires, one of the common characteristics of serial killers?

I believe so. And bedwetting wouldn't be a shock.

Kids fuck up your house far more than a dog. I've only been a dad for 11 months, and he's done more damage than our dogs have done in their three years here.

I've heard killing animals and loving animals implicated in sociopathy. I dunno, I think people just like to call one another sociopaths. As for Señor, he just doesn't have much compassion or respect for people who aren't like him or related to him. Your toddler may piss all over your floor, but at least he'll speak fluent Hebrew and Mandarin one day.

That old lady whose only companion is her dog needs to suck it up when that dumb animal gets whacked by a car. Its brain is a peanut, after all!

Señor basically exists to judge and demean other people solely on the basis of intelligence these days, so I guess it was only a matter of time before he started applying his standards to animals. Check back next year when he crashes a meeting of the Sierra Club to remind these weird and bad people that a tree can't even appreciate the films of Martin Scorsese.
