This was just some goofs online that based on Danks' horrible early performance level guessed he may be DFA. It happened, to nobody's shock. But to think some online goof had inside information is silly. Surprised that the Sox did this only because of the money still owed. But as I have said before, it was a matter of cutting their losses at this point and the right move.

Also, Steve... I fucking called this shit 16 hours before it happend and the reports out now say Danks was informed days ago so the information was out there to people in the know. A scoop of bullshit was all it was, but it was a relatively good guess that Danks might be DFA, based on how bad he was , so they made a calculated guess and it turned out to be correct. lots of people here (including myself) called for the same move, but didn't make claims that it was going to happen. Nothing to see here, move along....
