Who will the Donald select to be his running mate?

Kasich?

Rubio?

Someone that did not run for President?

Kasich makes sense, shows unity...even if it is just for show.

Plus, probably a good backroom guy for Trump to have if he gets to Casa Blanca!

Yet, who knows.

Trump "Said" someone called him that has been very against him over the past few months. Wants to get on board.

Trump, didnt say no, but he didnt exactly say "sure, lets do it"...which is something I do think he needs to do. At the same time those who ripped him, need to do something in return other than just not fighting him.

Gonna be the best TV show on in a long time.

It won't be Little Marco. I thought Kasich was gunning for it but he probably blew that with his Cruz alliance. I'm gonna guess he goes with Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth or maybe Ivanka.

Donald Trump: I"m gonna get me a broad or a black for VP. That will show them I'm not racist or sexist and get me the votes from one of those god damn demographics.

All joking aside, bet you that's what he does.

In that case, he may get President Camacho.

Jim Webb. He's gonna pull a democrat onto his ticket, and then he's gonna be president. It wont be that bad, really.

It would all be about who he could manage to land.

Kasich to me seems to make a lot of sense as Ohio is always a battleground state and would be a huge Republican gain. Plus he is normal and they could point to him as having a lot of experience. Trump needs to turn Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, maybe Pennsylvania... he polls well there. If I had to put money on a nominee, that is where I would look.

Nikki Haley would be a big one if Kasich doesn't play ball. He does need his women vote increased and she has a good history that could stand up to Clinton.

Walker makes some sense as Wisconsin would be a big state for the Republicans to get, but I'm not totally sure he could carry his own state. A lot of negative talk about him.

Not Palin. Christie seems unlikely as well due to his early sell out. Rubio won't give you Florida.

Rick Snyder in Michigan is up against term limits, so he'd play ball, but not much name recognition.

Not a lot of good candidates from the Senate as all the swing states happen to have an election this year.

ohhhhhh shit. Didn't even think of him. Webb is barely even a Democrat the way Trump is barely a Republican.

And a lot of it came from Trump himself, if I remember correctly. I believe Trump had a stopped-clock moment in pointing out that if Scooter were so great at business, his state wouldn't be hemorrhaging business the way it is.

wha?

Michigan's Governor Rick Snyder name has been all over twitter and the media:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the ... er-crisis/

however, one would have to be insane to even think about Snyder anywhere near Trump's campaign.

this is the correct "double down on the loudmouth, white male, northeastern bully" play.

you'd think by now people would have figured out not to try to predict what Trump will do based on what your standard issue, voter-pandering politico would do.

Trump picking a woman = McCain level pandering. Palin dint do nuffin for McCain.

Trump picking a VP to help with Ohio or Fla? Doubt it.

Trump did really well in New England and the mid-Atlantic states--it's where his faltering campaign turned around and propelled him to the nomination. I'd expect he'll try to shift the tri-state area from Blue to Red--which means he'd likely have the Presidency wrapped up on election day before polls even close in California.

Picking Christie shows Trump's loyalty to those who support him and gives him someone on the ticket who is even more brash and obnoxious than he is. And it doubles down on the northeastern representation on the ticket.

Attorney General, most likely.

As for doubling down on the Northeast, maybe he could compromise with the party and go with Scott Brown. That guy's always trying to get elected to things.
