You're being more difficult than usual.

You said there are red flags that make you question him as a person. Why the problem with listing them?

I know how it will go.

I'll say something like "His support and admiration for dictators who are pretty horrible with civil rights" and strongly restrict the freedom of the citizens of the country and then you'll say "Eh, not a big deal".

Then I'd talk about all the strange essays he wrote in the 70s that even anti-vaxxers would look at and laugh about and you'd say "Well, he isn't talking about that now".

But, mostly, it's because you aren't a Bernie supporter either so there really isn't much of a point to it.

I do not endorse dictators that abuse human rights. If Bernie is saying or said that, then I disagree with him.

If he's just endorsing certain economic policies of those dictators while acknowledging the human rights issues, that's a different story.

I don't think you can draw that distinction, though. Often times those economic policies and human rights/social policies are linked.

You can't admire Stalin for his countless failed 5 year plans and then ignore the catastrophic damage they did to his people.
