Any Slayer solo that's not on the Seasons In The Abyss album. They nailed most of their solos on that album but outside of that it's just mindless shredding.

well, first off the solo follows the chorus not the main intro of verse riff. secondly, the solo is very much in key of the song (E minor).

Nothing musically but it surely isn't great. It also isn't horrible.

Pretty much all slayer solos are the same. Much better riff writers and melody writing. It's not even mindless shredding it's more just reusing the same lines over again. Most guys do it is just more annoying with skater because the riffs are so good.

Tom Petty? You have to be kidding. What about "Running Down a Dream"? Great solo, great song.

Full Moon Fever was the Sgt. Pepper of the late 80s.

Tom Petty doesn't do the solo on that song.

True. Good point. As I think about it more they had some good solos on the Show No Mercy album too though. The Antichrist has a great solo in particular. They just weren't as good at it as other thrash metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Testament were. Great riff writers for sure though.
